He is just so fucking weak-minded. He got cyber-bullied by Putin. He turned into Trump’s lapdog. And the next day he gotta fire random employees of his to feel in control again. Piss baby aptly describes his state of mind.

It’s a different story if they have video of him with an underage hooker. (See Trump listed as passenger on Epstein’s “Lolita Express” seven times).

I think it’s been well established by reports of Trump’s pervasive stench that Trump supporters seem to lack a sense of smell. Perhaps that’s COVID’s doing, after they refused to take the vaccine. The relentless serendipity of it all makes me dizzy.

They don’t need any dirt on him, he’s a fucking coward. All they have to do is point to the window, ask him if he is familiar with the term “defenestration” and assure him he will become intimately familiar with it unless he starts behaving the way Moscow wants. Yet another reason billionaires should be taxed out of existence like they used to be.

A note about Taiwan. Allegedly, Putin asked Musk for a favour for Xi - to refuse Starlink for Taiwan.

Coincidentally, negotiations between Taiwan and Starlink broke down. The Guardian reported about it on October 15:

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/oct/15/taiwan-to-have-satellite-internet-service-as-protection-in-case-of-chinese-attack

“Starlink is not available in Taiwan after negotiations reportedly fell apart over Taiwan’s requirement that a local entity have a majority share of any joint venture established.”

A person experienced in investigating such matters would take a look at the ownership structure of other Starlink local representatives, and see if Taiwan had unusually harsh demands or Musk was unusually stiff while negotiating with them. If Taiwan had harsh demands, it is plausible that no favour was done. If Musk was unusually stiff, then it’s plausible that the favour was done as requested.

      Like genuinely,

If there are Epstein tapes, with video evidence of Musk or Trump or Prince Harry (or Gates or Soros or whoever) having sex with children, will there be any consequences?

It’s possible because if Putin releases his compromat, he’s also pulling his protections, so anyone that steps in line to defend that person because Putin is still using them either won’t say anything or will be right there with the ones that want them to face justice.

With the added bonus that taking that position will make it even more devastating for them if Putin later decides he wants to release their compromat.

Chomos in gen pop get hurt, although I’m not sure why I would be content with vigilante prison “Justice”. But Trump or Prince Harry wouldn’t be placed with the general rabble, even in the unlikely event they ever face any form of punishment.

You asked if there would be any consequences in the face of proof that Donald Trump or anyone else was committing sex crimes against minors. That is why I gave the reference I did.

Let’s wait and see what happens with Diddy. I am confident he will be hanging from the top bunk just like Jeffrey Epstein long before he exposes any other powerful people who were involved with his sex crime syndicate.

Once you give up the game, or bring exposure to it you are promptly liquidated.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Putin had his own similar operation, only using state-level power instead of just money to recruit girls who could take the driver’s seat and bring unsuspecting Johns back to hotel rooms rigged up with cameras anywhere in the world instead of needing to do it all on an island or at his home address.

Followed later by threats of releasing the footage (stick) vs promises for more similar episodes (carrot), though with the understanding that those carrots will be used as more sticks if they don’t cooperate.

I think about that scene in Borat 2 where Rudy Giuliani clearly thinks the interview is really about sex and proceeds without a second thought about the camera. I also think about how he completely imploded his career, reputation, and maybe life by fighting a legal battle he knew had no merit (and maybe even deliberately sabotaged because, while he liked the sex, he might have actually had qualms about enabling a Trump coup… Like four seasons landscaping, seriously? Not knowing basic court procedures after his career was based on prosecuting the Italian mafia?).

Just a hunch anyways, probably nothing.

      Edit: wording

Oops, I forgot to mention that the women are actually underaged, which isn’t revealed until after the deed is done and could even involve giving someone who is of age paperwork making it seem like they are underaged or even just lies without paperwork.

Or another angle is you might be married and the threat is to ruin your marriage and expose you as a cheater (which can also ruin personal and professional relationships outside of your marriage).

The “I’m shocked” posts are never useful. They never add to a conversation. I understand you’re frustrated, but this is a selfish impulse - If anything, the only thing a post like this can succeed at is sapping genuine energy/outrage building in a person that may have otherwise turned into the urge for deeper reading and/or righteous action. I don’t think that’s what you wanted from this post?

“I’m shocked” with nothing else added essentially says, “LOOK AT ME! I knew that already! If you didn’t, you’re kind of an asshole, because we all knew it already in this club you’re not in it (because it was SO obvious).”

I’m sure you posted this innocently, but consider please that it sucks. You shouldn’t post if you don’t have anything proactive to contribute. If you’re genuinely against the thing you are representing with this post, you would have done more to act against it if you didn’t post anything (if this was all you had to say).

And weirdly, it drives engagement anyway. People up vote where otherwise nothing would happen. Posters get reinforcement for posting something on Lemmy. And posts can be “hot” if your instance has that as an ordering filter causing more people to see it.

This is a good point worth considering. Indirectly can actually support in short term with engagement boost on post overall, but I’d still argue preserving that potential fire in someone (especially a young person), a thing that can be fragile and fleeting, is the more important win.

“Duh!” can make people feel othered and ashamed, to feel it’s not safe to ask “stupid” questions.

Putin seems to make implicit threats every time he opens his mouth, and I’m sure Musk’s “I’m a very dangerous crazy loose cannon billionaire” that is such a huge part of his public image, even – maybe especially – with heads of state, went over extremely well with an actually very dangerous guy who tames loose cannon billionaires as a part of his actually very dangerous job.

“In May 2022, Russia’s space chief said in a post on Telegram that Musk would ‘answer like an adult’ for supplying Starlink to Ukraine’s Azov battalion, which the Kremlin had singled out for the ultraright ideology espoused by some members,” the Journal reported.
