The easiest way to get this accomplished politically is to create insurance for them. Have the departments cover the base insurance rate and premium increases from settlements increase that officers insurance which (s)he has to pay out of their pay. Even at current 2024 losses of 100M, they would still go through it in less than 40 years. I can’t believe a newspaper makes almost a half billion dollars in revenue to be honest.

There is Upscrolled which is owned by someone who is Palestinian. But that seems more like what I imagine Instagram is like and doesn’t have many users yet.
