“It’s not just about what happened to me. It’s about everyone in this country. If you disagree, don’t retaliate. Don’t be violent. Don’t try to hurt your neighbor. We’re all human,”
I mean, if you believe that, my guy, you shouldn’t have bought the nazi truck. You also definitely should not have gotten a fucking gold one. You also ABSOLUTELY shouldn’t have driven it around in MASSACHUSETTS. I flip these fucks off when I see them here. I don’t agree with physically threatening them, but c’est la vie I guess.
Be careful out there, flipping off other drivers is considered “road rage” in some places and can get you ticketed.
Plus, a thumbs down with a look of disgust is funnier!
Bro, as a Massachusettsan born and raised if you dare touch my primary form of expression ya gonna get a hot cuppa dunkins in the face. That’d be like banning wicked sick donuts in a rotary.
Also a chance you’ll catch one of those guys carrying in their cars - that’s their thing. No need to put yourself in the crosshairs for an unhinged person…
I point and laugh at the ones I see here in Seattle. You can do a pretty good show of it from a bike while passing them being stuck in traffic lol
This feels like such a thin reason to get a ticket if you ask me. A rude gesture is just a rude gesture. But… be careful out there! I feel safe enough to flip them off, but I encourage safer forms of heckling them, like pointing and laughing.
No one was physically threatening him anyway.
I hope not. The article and video were a little vague on that. Some people apparently cut him off and got out of the car to flip him off, which is a bit much IMHO.

He thinks his family isn’t safe in it… Yet he continues to drive it
You drive a rolling swastika and BLARING sign of historical wealth inequality that you’ve literally wrapped in gold - you deserve so much more fucking hate culminating in a brief rest of your heavy head that wears the crown on the guillotine. Tone deaf, fucking ghoul.
There’s only one reason to get a cybertruck, the one thing it is excellent at: grabbing attention.
Mission accomplished buddy.
talk about excellent life choices
Jaroje was so worried that he tried to trade in the Cybertruck, but with no luck. He said he received a call and a text from a Tesla representative saying the company can’t take the truck back, even after sending them the hateful sticker.
“He confirmed with the text message that Tesla is not accepting Cybertruck trade-ins at this moment,” Jaroje said. He hopes the community will set aside judgment and be open to differences.
The vehicles are so bad that even the company that makes them won’t buy them.
Didn’t the people purchasing them have to sign a document saying they would not resell them to a 3rd party? Or did that not happen?
They backpedaled on that because they aren’t worth shit.
Judging this guy by the rest of the company he’s in as far as these Cybertrucks go, I wonder how “open to differences” he is towards other people.
More like, they can’t sell what they’ve already got so they aren’t gonna take even more stock.
Yes, because they’re so bad.
Also because people don’t like to support the Nazi billionaire who is actively destroying their country. But the terrible quality control of their overpriced and poorly designed cars doesn’t help.
Those are two different flavors of bad.
You can mix multiple flavours. It’s like a chocolate vanilla swirl except it’s just two flavours of dogshit.
There’s always room for specificity.
Fuck the cyber truck and all, but their sales numbers are still pretty good when you compare them to the other expensive EV trucks floating around.
If they were more affordable, I guarantee you that you’d see more assholes driving these.
They have thousands upon thousands of them sitting in their factories right now that they can’t sell
No they are not, last i hard they sold less than 4k cybertrucks.
Why would you? They can’t compare in any real metric, cause they’re not a damn truck.
Oh shit, I thought I was joking that he had no way to get rid of it.
says he’s been cut off in traffic
It’s Massachusetts. That their state pass time
been yelled at and given the finger
If everyone you see (Plus, you drive a gold vehicle. Talk about self-absorbed) is an asshole, you might be the asshole
Hey, the second state pastime is giving the finger and yelling in traffic. We take these pastimes seriously, like sports and drinking.
The only way he could have made it worse for himself is if he had an RI plate. Mass residents have never been shy about letting people know how they feel about them (for better, or very worse 😅)
*pass times. As in, a way to pass the time, like with a hobby such as fishing or drinking.Edit: I stand corrected and humbled.
No, if we’re going to be prescriptivists, we’re going to be correct.
It’s pastime.Holy shit. I feel like I just stepped intonan alternative reality. Seriously, I’m floored.
Yeah, they couldn’t possibly be yelling at him because he sucks at driving.
The truck probably is doing most of the shitty driving anyhow.
As the saying goes, if you smell shit everywhere you go, check your shoes.
pass time
I just realized I’ve always thought of it as past time, I guess I usually see it written as “pastime”. Past time doesn’t make any sense at all, the way I’ve always thought of it. Neat!
“pastime” is correct. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/pastime
With a single “s”? I’ve never seen that.
Edit: until seeing this comment. Wtaf?
https://alexandrite.app/Lemmy.dbzer0.com/comment/16674217
Edit: Well, I stand corrected. Pastime is right. I cannot believe I never knew that.
They call it a ‘Boston Left’ for a reason.
Shows how well they have been treated for so long they feel entitled to politeness.
None of that is threatening or harassing behavior.
GOLD Cybertruck…
“Look at me! Pay attention to me!”
“…oh no, not like that.”
While the Cybertruck is a screaming gold color, it’s for a reason. It’s a billboard for the medical spa the Syrian immigrant said he worked hard to build from the ground up three years ago.
There’s no billboard on the car in the article. There’s likely a small sticker somewhere. This is a common practice by business owners so they can file their personal vehicle as a business expense and dodge some of their tax liability. Frankly it’s a pretty shitty practice.
The billboard is on the back, complete with QR code. LOL.
It’s common to buy whatever the new eye catching vehicle is and wrap it for a business, we saw it when the new VW Bug was introduced, and again with the PT Cruiser, but for a cybertruck, he should have looked at WHY it was eyecatching… like a fish hook.
I like that you got a couple downvotes, I guess for calling a large text URL that spans the entire tailgate width and a giant fuckin QR code and the logo for the foundation a billboard? Like it’s not as flashy as a lot of advert wraps but it’s plainly visible from a decent distance, and it’s on a gold cybertruck so I guess it is flashy. I wonder what the opposition to you calling it a billboard is
Maybe they wanted the picture? 🤔
Which it’s not letting me upload… pics here…
Somehow this, and I didn’t know how this is possible, makes me feel even less sympathy for him than I did before seeing it.
Ah, so he deserves it, then
“That’s why I came to this country. I pursued my dream. Now, I’m enjoying the free speech, but with this taking a different turn, that made me very concerned,” Jaroje said.
Freedom of speech doesn’t mean your free from consequences.
“It’s not just about what happened to me. It’s about everyone in this country. If you disagree, don’t retaliate. Don’t be violent. Don’t try to hurt your neighbor. We’re all human,” he said.
He is encouraging a nazi oligarch through the purchase of what is a gross flashy display of his wealth in a time where the wealth gap has never been so wide. You’re just asking for it at this point.
You bought a car that is ugly, isn’t good at being a truck, has a dubious safety record, can lock you inside and get you killed, is tracking basically everything you do if you’re anywhere near it, and can rust at the drop of a hat.
Maybe next time don’t buy a swasticar
*drop of water. The hat will scratch it.
So threatening someone is ok because of the vehicle they drive?
The word for people who support Nazis is “Nazi”. Yes, threatening Nazis is okay.
Don’t buy a car to attract attention and then complain it’s not the attention you wanted.
“Did you see what she was
wearingdriving? Totally asking for it.”You think people making fun of a shitty car is comparable to rape?
I’m not talking about making fun of the shitty car, I’m talking threatening and harassing the driver.
No, you’re talking about rape when you should really shut the fuck up.
No I’m not, and no I won’t. I’m talking about harassing the driver. I compared defending that behavior to a rapist’s victim-blaming mindset. I’ve been very clear about that.
I’m not trying to put words in your mouth, not sure why you’re trying it with me, though.
Won’t somebody think of the Musk fanboys?!
Not at all what I’m saying. Just saying that you’re using rapist’s logic by blaming the assaulted for the assaulter’s actions, and I think that’s a pretty shitty thing to do, even if they drive an rusty nazimobile.
If a woman wears a short dress to feel pretty that is not an invitation for someone to assault them.
If someone buys a vehicle that is a know disaster, from a guy who can’t stop lying and cheating, and then makes it shiny gold to really drive home that they love their nazi-built pile of rolling garbage and then complains that people are expressing their displeasure in said person’s support of the person who is actively doing things that are killing/will kill people well buddy they can absolutely go fuck themselves.
The basic mechanism is similar, but if you can’t see the ten mile wide gap between those two scenarios I’m not really sure how to explain it to you.
Fuck Musk, fuck fascists, and fuck anyone who buys Tesla during all this garbage(some people before may, or may not, get a pass but I mean come on).
Did you see the nazi uniform that guy was wearing? He was asking for it.
Was she wearing a swastika? If yes, she’s asking for a punch in the face. Same applies to driving one.
Replied to wrong comment.
Literal Nazis should not feel safe stepping outside
The people who drive this “truck” are the same people who go “what was she wearing?“
Yes. 😘
You can have my upvote, but commenting here risks the echo chamber that is Lemmy to attack this comment too.
This place is perfectly OK stooping as low as the “other side”. Our violence is justified, theirs is not. Under no circumstance is the owner of that Cybertruck owned by someone that LOVES EV’s and just loves its looks/capabilities. They absolutely must have bought it because they support Nazi’s, no other reason. Everyone else here is virtuously perfect.
So each ‘side’ of America keeps stepping lower, justifying it by the previous act bringing us deeper into this hell we’re building in real time.
For the record, Elon can go f%$k himself, but under no circumstances am I going to inflict violence/anger on a random AMERICAN going about their day in their stupid Cybertruck.
If they’re just an EV enthusiast, they would have bought a good EV that doesn’t crash itself, lock you inside, and rust out from a little morning dew. A Rivian pickup still costs less than a Swasticar and functions a lot better.
This was a personal choice that these drivers made when they bought their truck, and they get to live with the consequences. Your argument has more holes than swiss cheese.
Our violence is justified…
Please point me to a news source that reported actual physical violence to a swasticar driver. All I’ve seen is light vandalism at best.
Light vandalism is a good start. Violence against Nazis IS justified - it’s the only language they speak, so be sure to communicate loud and clear.
Your argument is bad, and you should feel bad. 🤦🏼♂️
How many logical fallacies can you spot, kids?
Found the nazi

No, but I’ll still enjoy every article where they complain about it.
Absolutely.
Man, if only we were hip to what an asshole musk was a month ago. His fans could have known that buying a cybertruck was going to get negative attention. But I guess there were no signs to warn us. And really, who drives cybertrucks more than single moms living paycheck to paycheck, day laborers, and other marginalized folks? We should just assume that anyone in a gold cyber truck had zero idea what they were doing, had no intention of being an edgy dbag, and only uses it to deliver fresh produce to the local food banks.
If you disagree, don’t retaliate. Don’t be violent. Don’t try to hurt your neighbor.
If that’s what you believe, maybe don’t drive a symbol that is the opposite of these?
It’s not just about what happened to me. It’s about everyone in this country. If you disagree, don’t retaliate. Don’t be violent. Don’t try to hurt your neighbor.
That’s the entire point of this administration: retaliation. That’s why we’re here in the first place.
Dude who can take anyone who drives this thing seriously.
YOU LOOK RIDICULOUS.
Me driving around in my clown car “I just don’t understand why everyone keeps calling me a clown and laughing at me 😭”
I laughed at a broken down cybertruck once from my literal clown car (an overstuffed Honda Fit) in below freezing weather
NGL, it gave me a serotonin bump
Laughing is one thing
Threatened is something else. No excuse for that
We all know this guy is embellishing. “My wife screamed how she would never drive it again!” No, that didn’t happen.
And then if it did, uh, good? Points to the wife for refusing to drive a symbol of hate.
Oh no. Anyways…
Dr. Kumait Jaroje said someone put a profane sticker on his gold Cybertruck back on February 7 in Worcester. When he posted a photo of it on social media he told police he started getting threats online.
I put a post-it note on a cybertruck that said “STUPID.” I bet his was similar. Fucking crybabies.
Man goes to Worcester in an expensive car, is upset it gets fucked with.
For those not from the area, Worcester has been one of the rougher cities in MA forever. It’s not the worst by any stretch, but it has been going through waves of gentrification which leads to fun stories like this one as worlds collide.
I wouldn’t park a gold wrapped K car parked in Worcester. But now I want to park a chalk board painted K car in Worcester. Should go exactly as you’d think.
