While the diamond lens can increase the value, but there is considerable gold in the cameras you can extract around 10-15 grams from each camera.

Did a back-of-the-envelope calculation… these panels look too be about 40x40cm. With solar having a typical peak power of about 200W per m² you’d need about 300 of them for a 10KW peak home solar array (then you’d also need to hook up all the 300 batteries to have power through the night and not live in the US, where houses typically use way more power). Hypothetically of course…

They are not completely full of gold. That would be crazy. Where would the 64gb of ddr5 ram go? But the average gold haul in today’s prices are around $6000 USD

Yes there’s gold in them, but much of the worth in their interiors is from rare earth minerals much more valuable than gold.
If you just crack one open expecting a fat gold nugget you’ll be disappointed! But the value is there, even if ‘full of gold’ is a vast oversimplification.

Quite often, Saffron was already worth more than gold (by weight). I’d expect the price has shot up further, since it’s almost entirely produced in Iran.
There’s only a very small amount of saffron in a Flock camera, but with recent price increases, it’s likely worth thousands - and that’s on top of the gold, 64GB of Ram, Nvidia Graphics Cards etc.
They say “money doesn’t grown on trees”, but really, cracking open a Flock camera is the closest thing we’ve seen to a “free money” tree. There’s never been a better time to crack one open.
