Also tourism shows that the middle class elsewhere can afford to travel. You don’t hear people complain about Indonesian tourists in Europe, for example. But Bali on tge other hand is truly suffering the consequences of Western tourism.

Many of those words aren’t actually limited to those use cases, but they are used there because they have very specific meanings. A plaintiff, for example, is the person lodging a complaint. Doesn’t have to be a legal complaint, but in legal terms it makes it very clear who we’re talking about.
Others are just expressions. A snap election is just when you call an election earlier than the scheduled one. It’s essentially a nickname for something more complicated. Same goes with casting a ballot. It just means to toss your vote in for the count. It’s just the expression that stuck because it sounds fancier than just saying “voting.”
More fun to vary the pitch and length of the beep rather than the number of beeps.
Bernie would never allow robots to be evil, but he would allow them a little salami.
Also who knows how many loopholes. Apparently the word of God is very precise and is meant to be followed to the letter, except when it’s inconvenient, in which case you hang strings between your house and your neighbors’ so you can wander the neighborhood when you’re supposed to stay home.
Lots of waterproof clothes about to disappear from the shelves. Gore-tex for example is just teflon-coated fabric.

You sound like a fun person.
Zero Mission and Fusion were too hand-holdy for me. It was kind of annoying being told where to go and how to get there.
I’ve bought a bunch of stuff, but never anything important or particularly expensive. Random crap like LED strip lights, screws, bearings, and springs for 3D printing projects, or even filaments. Never had any issues, but I’d still be apprehensive buying something more expensive.
I agree, and I think they should have been free to do what they wanted back then too.
The concept behind short-term multiplayer in a long game is pretty cool. The invasions and the jolly cooperation are fun features.
But an actual 2-player session is a completely different experience, and something a lot of people are looking for
“I regret using Dolly as the example for the point I was making in the article,” she told Yahoo! Entertainment Saturday. “As I wrote in the piece, I love her and think she does some incredible things for the world. We all make poor choices in how to frame things sometimes. This was one of those moments for me! Dolly is one of the few people who is beloved by all and who loves all. The world is lucky to have her.”
You don’t get to pretend that it was an error in framing your message. You meant what you said and the only thing you regret is the backlash. You picked on an angel and everyone else rightfully gave you shit for it.
People are fucking stupid.
If it was a video instead of a gif, it would be less than a quarter of the size
The Prophet Muhammad married an 8-year-old. That kind of puts it into perspective.
She may not be as slim as in her early career, but she still looks great. However, those pants are doing some serious work!
Breyer’s used to have ads specifically about how it was free from shitty ingredients. It only had cream, sugar, salt, and whatever the flavor was. Now, the list of ingredients is longer than on a shampoo bottle.
Yeah, it’s not about your sexuality being a point of pride. It’s just about being proud of who you are as a person who is part of a minority group. Nobody’s thinking that being gay is better than being straight, they’re just trying to be proud of who they are.
