    This is America. You need corporate sponsors, rich benefactors, or wealthy parents to get to the Olympics. Athletic talent is essential, but not sufficient.

        Snoop is basically the human interest story reporter for NBC this year. He was in the stands watching the women’s gymnastics qualifiers with one of the team member’s family on Sunday.

      Unless the “sport” is mainly about big guys in full body padding crashing into another. That’s the only time the sport is not gay and really American.

      Olympic teams need corporate sponsors, rich benefactors, or wealthy patents regardless of where they are from. That’s part of the reason why athlete from poorer countries rarely do well.
