It’s crazy to think that Bill Gates is being a salesman in that top frame, trying to make computers appealing for an audience who didn’t know or care about them outside of spreadsheets. We sit here in a future where we know the outcome, but at the time, he was a hype man pitching to the void. Turned him into the richest man on the planet for a couple decades too, so maybe the best hype man in history?
