For real. Every wealthy carnist I know will post something to IG about that one time they had “free range”. The rest of the time, it’s the cheapest meat possible.
They always lie about buying “free range humane meat from family farms” when in reality they don’t even check the labels at the supermarket, it’s their get-of-jail-card.
Slaughtering animals is always horrible no matter what the setting is like. They meet the same knife at the end.
Last month there was a .ee user who was arguing that we should be promoting hunting, because “sustainability yo”. Never argued against the fact that the average Amerikan isn’t gonna get more than 1% of their calories from hunting anyways.
