This is something that voters would remember. These people got into office under the pre-Roe thinking where abortion was a convenient wedge issue. Overturning ROE was the barking dog catching the car and all steam went out of the whole works as a result. The people have shown that most never actually minded abortion in the first place. If these legislatures manage to so overtly overturn the will of the people, I suspect that we’ll see a change in some membership come next election.

Basically every country, for the most part, wants to keep regular relations going with every other country. Doesn’t mean they agree with each other or really even engage in trade. They want to remain friendly and have open communications channels. Severing ties in this way means that there is no possible normal interactions between them again.

I might suggest that this is good enough reason to not want to reproduce. If your own life has been shit, you wouldn’t want to inflict that on others.

This is the case. One thing is treating all humans with respect, and another is knowingly contributing to someone having a more difficult life. You can love the ones who already exist without passing on your genetic nonsense to new ones.
