Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•For years you have seen them in memes. How about what do they look like now after all these years have passed
16·29 days agoMy guess is AI generated in part since another poster also showed she’s still a teenager. There’s a flat window to her left in the background and a car door to the right, doesn’t really make sense

Autism@lemmy.world•I really am completely and utterly incapable of doing stuff
2·1 month agoAnyone who looks at crippling executive dysfunction and goes nah that’s not ADHD or treatable with the stimulant meds prescribed specifically for that struggle to millions of people to great success regardless of any arbitrary ADHD label is a bad doctor and should absolutely be ignored in favor of a second opinion.

Autism@lemmy.world•I really am completely and utterly incapable of doing stuff
5·1 month agoI’ve often found in my life that the unavoidable things drain my executive function enough that I’m not left with any for the important but technically ignorable. My solution was ultimately ADHD meds, Adderall. It gives me the executive function I need to do mandatory things, get work done, clean something in my apt, and still have the energy to stay out of bed after I’ve done all that most days (without it, sometimes the thought alone of knowing I need to do xyz but don’t have the energy/function for it is enough to send me back to bed and asleep).
It’s not perfect and sometimes an especially bad mental day can’t be overcome with meds but the daily average has been life changing.
I’ve never really understood this sort of comparison. Boobs are a secondary sexual characteristic whereas the genitals are a primary one. Men have more sexual characteristics than just their dicks and can literally do chest cleavage too, like a loose open button down shirt. Plenty of women go crazy for that. We just don’t societally obsess over or police it like we do women’s bodies/breasts.

Television@piefed.social•One-Punch Man Season 3's Part 2 Airs in 2027
11·3 months agoWhy not just call it season 4 when there’s over a year between the parts? Seems silly
Probably because the image being searched is the cover of a power rangers porn parody
A relationship ending because we grew old together or something is fine to me, at least theoretically. It’s the rejection that hurts. The knowledge that everything up to that point meant nothing to her in the end
Hard to say. Having only experienced having a girlfriend this year in my mid 30s, the breakup turned all the memories to pain. I think I’d have overall been happier without them at all. Especially since the relationship had come at a time when I finally felt securely past my traumas and had learned to love myself as I was. Now I have to try to do that all over again with freshly resurfaced and reinforced trauma.

3·3 months agoYeah that’s basically its whole thing in pop culture. It has life saving uses for certain people but a lot just take it for the weight loss side effects it also has. It can even “help” people that don’t really need it lose weight which is why the main cast of the new Wicked movie is terrifyingly thin
I don’t get it

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Gap's new AI provides disturbing replies
5·4 months agoThat’s a totally fair criticism of it but I definitely didn’t read that intention from the poster. Your screenshot example is very funny though. It’s obvious imo this was very much just an “oh shit we need AI cause everyone is doing AI” decision by higher ups that didn’t really care about anything except being able to say they have AI now

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Gap's new AI provides disturbing replies
2·4 months agoThat’s not even the point stated in the original post though. Calling it simply “racist content” or “extremist references” (???) is extremely misleading. There’s significant additional context being left out. It didn’t give it unprompted and it didn’t give it for racist reasons either. The bar to show and demonstrate how horrible AI is is already underground, there’s no need to try to do it in a misleading clickbait way

It reads like the AI was prompted to give examples of racist behavior and then it gave examples of racist behavior, likely ending with the context that it’s racist behavior at the end of that sentence. I don’t like AI but I don’t think this is it chiefs. But maybe op can tell us themselves cause they probably wrote the Twitter post

I’m curious, did anything in particular cause the sudden spike in January?
