Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Have any cities made dedicated bike roads?English
1·1 day agoOne of the towns I ride through has a really busy/dense section of the bike & pedestrian trail that splits into a pedestrian only section and a bike only section for 2 miles. The bike section always has people walking on it during the weekends, even when there’s plenty of room on the pedestrian side. Most weekends are still rideable, but some days I just ride in the street so it doesn’t take half an hour to go 3 miles.
Ok, not op, but hear me out.
Sour candy is typically flavored with various acids citric, malic, tartaric, etc. to achieve the sour taste.
If the bacteria is normally in the mouth, but not typically able to survive the acidic environment of the gut, maybe that additional acid from sour candy was able to add selective pressure, and the surviving bacteria were then less affected by stomach acid.

15·3 days agoCryogenics is only an optional part of the standard. You’ll need to make sure both devices support the USB D pd420.69 spec otherwise you’ll never get the full rated speed.
Stupid usbif always making critical features optional.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Misunderstood hand signals may put cyclists in dangerEnglish
3·3 days agoOn motorcycles the right hand is generally throttle and front brake. So you’re using it to slow down before the turn and then to throttle up to complete it.
The left hand is usually done with clutch duties before the turn, and not needed again until after the turn is completed.
Also signaling with the right arm might be harder for a car driver to see if you’re riding further to the right in the lane

Honestly, they should be referred to as Executive Orders, because that’s what they are when the president micromanages the executive branch.
Ok, how is this not illegal? Buying up all the supply to prevent competitors from buying any, even when you can’t use it yourself. There’s gotta be some anticompetitive regulation that would cover this
