    If I were in the market for a new GPU this would be the one I’d get for a more hassle free Linux gaming experience compared to Nvidia.

    As far as I can see, it is the only card still available at an OK price in retail.

    I am considering getting one now for my next computer…

    Most popular current card, or most popular card of all time?

    Edit: answering my own question after actually reading the article 😅

    Currently they’re most popular, as per the Steam Hardware Survey.

    Historically, their best selling GPU was likely the ATI Radeon 9600 in the very early 2000s.

      That is because you got Half Life 2 with that card. Or at least a coupon/key because the game wasn’t even out back then. And before VALVe got hacked, leaked parts of the source code and postponed the releasereleased even further
