examples:

living alone: for centuries people just didnt do this and families lived in intergenerational households.

finding ”the one”: as liberal societies started promoting the nuclear family and the spouse as being the main source of emotional confidant as opposed to interconnected communities

being happy with your job: most of the times the job was just for survival

being happy/stable most of the time

I’ve been thinking how many of us, on the spectrum or not, engage in communication, especially myself. Blunt to a fault. And another example of contradictory thought, we don’t use the tools of our enemies - unless we do.

Fidel didn’t go 'round telling everyone his revolution was to be a communist revolution, when soliciting funds, so deception.

No recently modern revolution succeeded without money, and to an extent, diplomacy. I’ve been wondering if perhaps we should begin learning and using “nonviolent communication,” but sometimes I miss the point if it’s not stated bluntly (lost in the sauce).

I want to add “poker face” isn’t bad. And one can benefit from a thorough understanding of Machiavelli, Green’s 48 Laws of Power, and Sun-Tzu’s Art of War. In fact, I’ll go do so far as to say not studying these texts does anyone who dismisses them a grave and injurious disservice to themselves, as well as any collective endeavor that imagines success.
