    I am a Freemason. AMA

We have regular monthly meetings plus sometimes ‘emergency meetings’ (it just means outside of the normal monthly schedule).

What we do mostly at the meetings is initiate candidates in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree. Then there’s also barbeques and social gatherings. Then all of this must be planned, which means administrative work must be done, meetings to make sure everything runs smoothly. If takes 7 officers to conduct a degree ceremony, and they all must know their lines, so there’s a bit of planning required.

We interview people who’ve applied to join the order to make sure they’re suitable.

Shriners and the 33°, beyond hospitals and good works?

Masons run the gamut of the political spectrum, but those with notable power seem really anticomunist. Truman, for example.

A lot of Masons were Golden Dawn and other occult societies, which again runs the gamut of the political spectrum, but again those with real power and status seem anticommunist.

I’m not a Shriner so I don’t have any knowledge on this besides what everyone knows.

What kind of occultist practices does Freemason have? Do they have any elements of Alchemy, Hermeticism, Kabbalah, Paganism, Hinduism, Buddhism, or is it mainly it’s own version of mysticism?

Saying that freemason borrows elements from other places does not inherently divulge the “secret” knowledge of freemasonry. Although there is not much if any secret knowledge the freemasons have left since most if not all of their knowledge is already talked about on the internet.
