As someone that age, “old but not very old” is an accurate reflection of how I feel.
I started feeling like this after I stopped being a teenager. Ofc I always look back on myself post teenager and think “I was so young then” but at the time it’s different.
I’d like to hear an 11-year-old role play a 40-year-old.
I put on my dentures and walking cane.
“It’s an hour after mid-day. I prepare for bed.”
It’s currently that time in my day and I actually think, that I should deserve a nap after all the bullshit I had to endure in the last hours…
I’m 40 something. I would love to be able to have a nap at lunch. Yesterday I ate microwaved soup at my desk in lieu of a break.
If you’re 40 and you don’t think you’re middle-aged yet, you’re quite optimistic.
I’m 30, and I’m in my twilight years.
Considering I’m going to have to install 4 more editions of corona deluxe.
TBF if it’s medieval fantasy, then the average human is indeed kinda old by 40.
Wasn’t the death rate skewed by a large amount of deaths during the birthing process?
Yeah, if you made it to 30, you could reasonably expect to live into your 60s.
Right, so 40 was between middle-aged and elderly.
