I simply mean that taxes should be implemented by the legislative branch and not the executive branch, as stated in the Constitution and as stated as a grievance in the Declaration of Independence. This was a war cry of the American Revolution that the current majority in Congress have abandoned.

A plurality of voters in our outdated First Past the Post election chose this. This is the primary causation.
