Idk its definitely a pre-being-done-showering-thought that could definitely preceed a shower

At this point, all the stuff in the shower is sort of automatic. I’m usually thinking about other stuff.

I have to try to remember what I did while I was spacing out so I don’t wash myself three times.

Ew! That’s nasty! What if some girl meets you at a coffee shop, and wants to suck your toes??? You just gonna have nasty toes that “dirty shower water has run over them, so it’s fine”??? She’ll never want to deep throat your foot with that attitude!!!

So I feel slightly bad about this now, but I know there was a solid year where I didn’t wash my calves and below. I had been moved to a 0330 hours start time, and I was just a zombie when getting ready for work. I finally had adjusted everything after that year, and then it just hit me one day that I hadn’t been washing my calves or feet. I would just get in the shower, and then go head to thigh and get out. Neither the spouse or I shave the legs, so it’s not like that was taking care of the problem either.

And you know what? No one noticed. Not me, not coworkers, not the spouse, not the kids, not the dog (well, I don’t really know if the dog noticed), not extended family members that I saw once in a while, and nobody that ever said anything at the beach/pool. My skin looked the same, I didn’t have any extra odor… So I don’t know. I’m just one data point, but I sort of get the whole ‘no bathing’ movement. It’s maybe possible to get to the point where simply rinsing off muck and obvious grime is enough without having to scrub or clean. My personal opinion is that it would be nearly impossible in the more ‘yucky’ areas, like the groin and armpits, and you definitely want to have good care of the oils on your face and back/shoulders.

Sucking toes may not have been in there, but plenty of feet intimate moments did occur without issue. /shrug

That would bath time. I don’t want some girl sucking my coffee shop toes regardless of shower water or not.

It’s 1:30 A.M. and the 24 hour hairdresser hotline (1-800-cut-hair) was shut down years ago, maybe you could explain.

If you read your shampoo label, it probably says the same thing.

Rinse, apply a small amount of shampoo, wash, apply some more shampoo, wash again.

This way, you first remove most of the oil from your hair, and the second time you actually clean it and the scalp.

        In a way, it’s like a dishwasher works with a pre-wash cycle.

Wash, rinse, repeat… It’s an infinite loop, there is no exit statement. How many repeats? Sounds like “Big Hair” just wants us to buy more product.

I just looked at my head and shoulders bottle and it does recommend rinse and repeat. It does not however discuss why. I was more pointing out that the first person I was replying to could have just shared the information that they seem to have rather than saying ask someone.

I wash my hair once a week with water only, and it’s fine.
Doesn’t smell, doesn’t look greasy, and my scalp is much healthier than when I still used shampoo.
