Seriously. About half the races in my districts never have anyone running but one Republican. Hell there’s been a few Statewide races where only one Republican ran.
That’s because they’re not in it to actually win. A number of them are in it to act as spoiler specifically, why else do you think Jill Stein still around?
We’re pretty clearly talking about presidential primaries here buddy.
Completely disagree. First of all there’s a difference in Reagan Era and Reagan endorsed. However it’s not just Chevron we’re talking about here. It’s the idea of dismantling the regulatory state in general. That’s much older than Chevron. That sentiment can be traced back to Phyllis Schlafly. That sentiment can be traced back to the John Birch Society. That sentiment can be traced back to the business plot.
I have no faith in them be able to pass something like this. Not when this is what the Republicans have been dreaming of for the last 50 years. But I hope they keep trying.
That’s neither literal nor a fact.
No it’s literally not what I said or implied. If you think Gavin Newsom is staying out of this because he’s worried about having his career torpedoed you’re nuts. I said political reasons because it’s political reasons. For his own personal political benefit. I think that should have been obvious. If Newsome wanted to run he’d be running. I doubt Biden would be in this race if Newsome was running. He would have stepped aside. If for some reason he hadn’t, the party would have pushed him aside.
That’s cuz Biden ran unopposed.
Cuz fuck them pigeons.
It’s basically just depends if you stayed tuned. I mean I have perfect sympathy for someone who watched the first 15 or 20 minutes and then turn it off because you know damn. However the longer it went the worst Trump got and Biden kind of leveled out though never got impressive by any means.
No, it’s says the offices of Warren, Sanders, and others. Maybe take your own advice and read more carefully? Or check a source with actual details like this one that says they weren’t even at individual offices but the building as a whole: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/capitol-police-arrest-pro-palestinian-protesters-who-swarmed-senate-building/ar-BB1llwsW
No serious politician chose to participate. Either for their own political reasons (Newsome) or because they preferred Biden as a better and more strategic option (Sanders). It’s still a primary when you don’t like the choices. It’s disingenuous to claim otherwise.
Well it was in a lot of people’s offices. I’ve seen nothing to say they were arrested while physically in his office or that he or his staff was the one that called for them to be arrested.
Oh sorry I thought you were talking about that other event with the pink protesters. Since that was in his office specifically.
Those weren’t anti-genicide protesters. I don’t know where the fuck you got that from. If anything they were people perfectly okay with a Ukrainian genocide. Their goal was to get the United States to stop helping Ukraine. Their goal was to let Russia brutalize and destroy the Ukrainian people.
If that’s what’s true then both him and his prep team failed horribly. Everyone knew that was going to be Trump strategy. That’s a very common conservative strategy. There’s even words for it I’ve seen multiple YouTube videos breaking this issue down. Just a constant stream of unending lies. It’s what they do. There’s no way to beat it directly. The only thing you can do is scoff at it and redirect to something else.
I don’t see how a crowd would have helped Biden. In fact the Dems requested this since they felt Trump feeds off of crowds.
Katie Porter just got beat. As much as I love her I don’t know why you think she’d be a strong National candidate when she couldn’t win a state race.
