I would get a recertified enterprise drive from Server Part Deals. Drives in the 12-18TB range currently have the best price per TB. Be sure to get a SATA drive if it’s going in a desktop.

You don’t get segmentation faults if you don’t have an MMU. That can certainly make debugging more interesting when your firmware starts overwriting memory that it shouldn’t until it finally crashes.

For a dual port card, you will want an 8 lane PCIe 3.0 slot connected to the CPU. Almost any desktop CPU will have enough lanes since you won’t be using a graphics card. You can get by with a 4 lane slot, but you won’t be able to max out both ports bidirectionally at the same time.

That’s why I was wondering if they fixed it. It’s been quite a while since I’ve used an Nvidia card.
I’ve never had any screen tearing issues with AMD cards or Intel integrated GPUs.

Has the Nvidia screen tearing issue been fixed? I’ve had 2 computers with Nvidia GPUs (GTX 560 Ti & GTX 765M) and they both had awful screen tearing that I couldn’t get rid of unless I disabled compositing.

There are mid range CPUs with 128MB of L3 cache now. A Linux distro like Tiny Core could fit entirely in cache.

The older versions were rather buggy on Wine. MO 2.5 and newer work great, but they need Wine 9 to run.

The orange indicating gel is less toxic, but it’s still not good for you. Don’t dry any indicating silica gel in the same oven you use for food. The clear silica gel is non toxic, but breathing the dust can cause silicosis.

It was buggy and crashed a lot, but at least there was no telemetry.

There is a Firefox addon called ClearURLs that automatically removes all of the tracking crap. It works on PC and Android.

Pellet printing is usually used in larger printers. You can get much higher flow rates and the pellets are cheaper than filament. That’s good when your build volume is measured in cubic meters and you are using many kilograms of plastic in one print.

If you want to censor something in a picture, make sure the brush is set to 0% transparency. That phone number is still easily readable.

That would be my suggestion. They only take a single slot and some are even passively cooled.
