Notice how he isn’t saying just that he needs more, just that he wants us to have less. This isn’t a message for us, it’s a plea for the ram manufacturers to further squeeze the supply and reinforce their monopoly for the cloud of the future where you just rent computing from them. I don’t think so buddy, fuck off

1·5 hours agoWell maybe that experience will teach them something. And as to the workers? Sounds like they were gonna get fired anyway. Damned if you do damned if you don’t

3·9 hours agoYou’re probably right that the reality of proton gray and not so black and white and they have done both good and bad but on pentesting vibe coded code with just more LLMs is wrong and probably why you got downvoted so much. You absolutely have to have a human expert involved in security, there is no alternative. Would you and your dearest family fly on a plane designed entirely by AI and checked exclusively by AI? I didn’t think so. LLMs are still a great tool and an amazing second set of eyes but they can’t be trusted

1·10 hours agoI mean the best way to make them understand is to comply with their vision to the point where you make them eat their words. If i was a proton employee i would vibe code the shit out of everything until they’ve got a security breach every day. The only reason these kinds of execs only listen to one thing: profits. Just saying

2·10 hours agoOh god yes, I can’t tell you how many times i’ve seen execs in general come in and confidently peddle their motivational crap and ethos only to be proven wrong 2 weeks later and having to backtrack and reframe their messaging with absolutely no consequences. But they only do that from peer pressure not because they actually believe they’re wrong, often exactly as the proton ceo did, saying they still want to push forward just in a different way. These people are unembarrassable and you can only get away from them if you quit or wait for them to quit and be fired, there’s no reforming.

I am wondering myself the exact same questions. France is more socialist than most developed countries yet it has this deficit and economic output problem more than some countries that aren’t as socialist. I of course want to tax the billionaires, but does anyone have numbers? Would that cover the funding gap?
Yes but somehow I would guess people in war zones, say for example in Ukraine, somehow wish for this boring normality we seem to be tired of. I try to think of that every time i seem too tired of the grind. Though in some way, I think everybody matters more in a war than in a peaceful economy
Responsibility is entrapment yes. It’s a choice and trade off that some people make, some know about the terms and conditions beforehand some don’t

3·17 days agoTechnically correct, practically wrong, they are both gaming store bloat apps but steam is a steaming (!) pile of a webshite that takes longer to load than some games (for me at least) and uses 700mb of ram/vram.
