  • I find myself temporarily kind of sort of not really homeless. I bought five acres of land, with an agreement on file that the county would open the barrier upon purchase. Here I am 5 months later still struggling to even get them to answer my calls much less open my barrier. So while I have land, and an RV, I have nowhere to put it.

The majority of RV parks have no availability for long-term stay, even if they did they cost pretty much the same if not more than renting an apartment which is stupid. And most places are insanely hostile towards RVs staying anywhere else. I’ve been lucky in that I happen to be near a rest stop that is both usually not busy and absolutely huge. I’ve been sneaking under the radar staying here longer than I should occasionally hanging out at a wallmart or something during business hours to avoid being noticed.

But this is getting harder and harder as most public Waste stations have closed, and the ones that are open still have gotten rid of their potable water so I might be able to dump my Wastewater but I have nowhere to then refill water.

I built this RV to be great for 24/7 living, I have over 4 kilowatts of solar on the roof, I have over 15 KW hours of battery storage so I don’t even need an electrical hookup. I have a full size heat pump hot water heater, two chest freezers one of which is to use as a fridge, and I have about 100 gallons freshwater capacity. On top of that I have enough filtration on my water system to make it so that I could probably just safely use stream water if I really wanted. I’ve got multiple levels of whole home size filtration right at the tank, and then for all my drinking and cooking water it goes through an additional 10 stage filter system that has reverse osmosis and alkaline remineralization. It’s in good condition, clean, and it’s hard to miss the solar lining the whole thing. It’s obviously not a dilapidated homeless RV but people treat me like I’m some kind of homeless crack addict just because I’m in an RV.

Fun fact, in a lot of states even if they slam the brakes if you hit them you are still at fault. You should have been at a safe following distance, and no one knows what that actually means. People will argue that a distance of less than 2 seconds is totally fine and safe because they do it all the time. But a safe following distance means that at your current speed of travel if the car in front of you came to an impossibly instantaneous stop you should have time to notice and stop without hitting them.

At freeway speeds this is a minimum of 4 seconds following distance in dry condition. As in when the back of their car passes a sign that you should be able to start counting Mississippi’s and not reach that sign with the front of your car for at least 4 Mississippi’s

Now, if they come up from behind you swerve over and then instantly slam on the brakes obviously you’re fine(if you have a dash cam) there was nothing you could have done, but if you have just been riding their ass and then they slam on the brakes? You’re totally a fault as far as the law in many states is concerned

  • I voted for sanders, continue to try and vote for a at least halfway decent candidate, i moved into an rv that i retrofitted to be fully solar powered. 3.6Kw of panels, 15kwh of battery, haven’t had to touch the grid since installing it, 15 stages of water filtration i can just use rainwater if need be for my freshwater (verified with lab tests for water safety) i have my own land and grow as much of my own veggies and herbs as i can. I drive literally one of the least polluting cars in the world (smart fortwo gets an avg of 44MPG is not even a hybrid) and I still try to drive it as little as possible, i use all stainless steel throughout my kitchen (cookware, storage, utensils, plates, bowels, cups) , so everything lasts forever and has no microplastics or pfas.

I genuinely don’t know what more i could possibly do to reduce my footprint, I went out of my way to live as efficiently as possible and it’s done literally nothing whatsoever for the situation. And people removed moan complain about even the smallest change to their life. I can’t even convince people to at least try induction over gas stoves. It’s got so much better temperature control than gas, and since it’s literally turning the pan into the heating element it’s like 92% efficient whereas gas is horrendously inefficient since a large amount of heat just barfs out into the room instead of getting to your food. And I’m literally offering people to just fucking have one of mine so it’s not like it’s a cost issue.

So fuck you, we are doomed and you can’t convince me otherwise
