so your answer is to regulate education? one of the most heavily regulated industries, education, you want to further regulate because of the influence of a brand new unregulated industry.

can I name her Sony?
I can be a pretty passive aggressive person, mostly because I’m nicer that way. I can be direct, but prefer not to be because there’s zero filter.
for example, I had somebody attempting to get me fired at work because they didn’t like me. I attempted to get them reassigned to another project but they wouldn’t take the hint. so one evening I waited by their car and had a long discussion about how my job provides for my family and how important my family is to me. I asked them of they had family and if they would do anything to protect their family. they finally got the threats and decided to take the reassignment a few days later.
although it wasn’t completely direct, it was more of a hammer than a scalpel that I usually handle.

I think they’re spot on with over saturation. I like a good Isekai, but there’s just too many junk titles out there.

is that from regular stinkflation or because non-fuel based vehicles filled that 37%?

gross, a piefed link.
it’s funny. back when the mass exodus happened from lemmy to piefed I called out how cultish the community sounded and how the users seemed to be kind of toxic. they protected piefed like it was “special”.
of course I was downvoted, expectantly.
doesn’t seem I was too far off the mark tbh…

I’m not passing the buck. I’m giving them credit. Not voting for Harris was the right thing to do.
still refusing to take any responsibility.
Stein wanted to stop arms shipments to Israel. Trump and Harris wanted to continue them.
an ineffective way to maintain diplomatic ties with a country that helps our country maintain control of the middle east. a poor choice that would only allow Russia or the Saudis to grasp complete control which would only further expose the US to foreign attacks.
Stein wanted universal, single-payer healthcare. Trump and Harris did not.
that will never happen until all of Congress is filled with politicians that are willing to allow that to happen. Also, Stein lacks the tactics and connections in Washington to even start the conversation to accomplish this.
I could go on and on, but if Stein wasn’t “grounded in reality”, then neither is progressivism.
I’m glad you’re starting to catch on. progress happens slowly and just winning an election won’t fix all our problems. voting for Harris would have fixed one problem. Trump.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to unite behind a candidate who already had ballot lines and party infrastructure? I supported Rocky Anderson in 2012. He was trying to build out his party during his presidential campaign. He was not able to get on enough ballots to get the required number of electors to win. I did not vote for Rocky Anderson in 2012.
who the fuck is Rocky Anderson? you want regular Americans to vote for people they have never heard of before. this is what I mean by “grounded in reality”.
a candidate that has zero recognition, zero national contributions, zero prospects, zero experience has zero chance of ever becoming president.
wouldn’t it make more sense to unite behind a candidate that has a chance of blocking the most powerful governing seat in the world from the worlds most corrupt criminal? even if that candidate wasn’t perfect for the job, they still would have been better than allowing the corruption to fill the seat and ruin it for generations.
🤷 we’ll never know how bad or good it could have been though, so no use in arguing over it.
been there, done that. I’m actually on the road to recovery (if you can call it that).
I’ll never be the same again, that’s for sure.

passing that buck back to democrats I see.
Stein was a candidate not grounded in reality. West was barely even talked about outside of independent voter circles.
the only candidate that had any real hope of winning against Trump was Harris. not because she was the best. because she was the only candidate put forward by the opposition party, and she wasn’t Trump. she was the only candidate with a history with voters. she was literally the only candidate talked about other than Trump.
The DNC wasn’t trying to win the election, they were trying to stay in power.
Independents were not trying to win the election, they were grasping for power.
the failures of both parties and their ineptitude allowed the Trump regime to steal the seat.
2024 was a pivotal moment when both democrats and independents should have put their differences aside and put forward a singular candidate that wasn’t Biden, Harris, Stein, or West.
Instead the American public got the same old song and dance, which the republican party has proven they can work around again and again.
so, whose fault is it that Trump gained the seat again? American voters who failed to read the room and pass their votes grounded in reality. not the DNC. not Independent organizations.
pick one or more.
with the state of the world I picked all of them.

If you think President Harris doesn’t follow Israel into war with Iran, you are dumb
I guess we will never know and are stuck with the hundreds of dead on our hands (so far).
I wonder 🤔 will independents remember who allowed a dictator to install themselves because they decided to gamble at the worst time?
oh that’s right, independent voters have an aversion to reality and refuse to accept any responsibility for the outcome of the 2024 election results.
that sounds oddly familiar…

and here you can see the electric meter for the house.
