My, neat!
My, neat!
That was the Reddit spoiler tag, so I’m guessing they’re using one of the ex-reddit clients that pivoted to Lemmy during the great migration.
Either Sync, Boost, Eternity, or… the other one I couldn’t remember the name of.
Oh woops yeah. Totally missed that. My bad.
It carries the emotions and personal biases of the source material It was trained on.
So are all my friends… Never stopped me from having fun conversations with them, even ones I disagree with.
I’m sorry, I don’t speak gothic
Paywall starts around the 3rd paragraph. Answer to the question was the very first sentence, right below the title. In large font.
I swear if someone looks at Nova and simply went “yeah let’s replicate its functionality 1:1”, it would become number one in no time
System and all the “important” apps that I expect to use during the day - dialer, chat, email, maps, browsers - follow the automatic schedule.
Everything else are on perpetual dark mode. Especially the Lemmy clients. Helps me to touch grass when I’m in the sun, instead of doomscrolling…
Omg thanks for asking this, and thanks to the people that responded. I sincerely went through other alternatives around 5 years ago, and none of them were close to Nova in terms of folder customisation. I’m glad the landscape had changed quite a bit!
not sure if it’s really used in the context of married people.
My flirty comments usually got the well-deserved eye roll from my partner. And I would do anything they ask for, unconditionally. They would, too, but usually managed to do it before I had the chance to ask for anything. Definitely the GOAT.
I can see how to a child this may look as simping.
It’s a misused phrase, yes, but also a very common one that’s been happening since the early 1800s. Even made it into the American dictionary.
Not as much of a gimme
Huh. I’m not American and not exactly well versed in pop culture; but when Kamala started making the news on TV, I told my partner, “wasn’t she in The Good Place?”
I feel so vindicated right now.
I have trouble remembering things from highschool. But my younger sibling, they have vivid memories of stuff from pre-school onwards. And I know they’re not making it up because, well, I was there and was 5 years older.
And many research has shown that long term memory starts forming at, coincidentally, around 4 years of age.
The mind is a wondrous place, and just because you or I can’t imagine it happening doesn’t mean it’s not possible.
Put them on a tray, spray with olive oil, sprinkle some salt, bake in oven. Spinach chips! Mmmmm

We were trying to figure out what to do with leftover dry lentils after using them for soup, so I looked up online and found people using them as mince replacement.
So we ended up whipping up some lentil bolognese. Taste & texture were the furthest thing away from beef. But damn it was tasty in its own right.
Considering pteron is greek and quad is latin, it should probably have been tetrapter. Which actually rolls off the tongue better.
That’s the thing. People genuinely were upset they “got political”, completely missing the machine they were raging against…
