  • Yeah I’m no mechanic but I think it’s from the way their doing the suspension to increase tow load. I can’t remember the truck models but it was the largest model vs the 2nd largest model had the exact same engine size and sp3cs but the larger truck had a way larger low weight than the other and I was told it all came down to the differences in the transmission and suspension. I 100% agree tho I have worked jobs that had trucks with beds that were so fuckin stupid high it turned loading/unloading to a 2 part or 2 person task. Once onto the tailgate. Second to move to front of bed when normally we could just give a good toss and load the truck in fraction of the time.

  • Everyone I know in the US that owns trucks like what op shared are all work trucks for general contractors or were bought to pull their giant campers. I know the bro-dozer community you’re talking about but those trucks are not usually new trucks like op’s. This is in rural America tho not the suburbs so maybe it’s different in other areas.

  • According to backlink.com there is 265,500,000 active users per week so 15% of those weekly users means there is 39,825,000 corporate whores per week. To have the corporate whores filled with real people you would need the entire population of the following cities to even come close:

  • Eli5: How does record AIPAC spending prevent people from voting? It still comes down to people voting so isn’t it safe to say more people voted for the person who won than people who voted for the losing candidate?

Edit: come on this isn’t reddit. I’m not concerned with this question of who was running and what they are in favor of. As far as I have been attentive to politics there has always been campaign contributions from lobbyists with the intent to have their interests protected. I do not understand why or how that would affect the outcome of the election unless one candidates total campaign funds were a pot more than the others. I also don’t understand why is thes any new precedent? Hopefully with this added clarity the down votes won’t burry the comment and further discussion can be had.

  • Super late to the party but every comment in response to yours is incorrect or not the full reason for capital gains being taxed less than income tax. The economic justification for a lower tax rate on capital gains relative to ordinary income is threefold: it is not indexed for inflation, it is a double tax, and it encourages present consumption over future consumption. The biggest being the last point, the gov’t wants people investing, borrowing and spending so the lower tax is an incentive to keep your money in the .arket and not in a savings account or under your mattress.

I shouldn’t have started by saying the other comments are wrong, but they all seemed to miss the actual reason you were asking about.

  • In 1000 years this meme/tweet/post will be what my entire generation’s existence will be known for. Noone will remember the politics, the disasters, the geopolitical events good or bad, they will remember our entire world and existence ad the only time that technology advancement was driven by the big tech mafia trying to see how far it can get it’s dick in your digital footprint.

It’s the new cops v robbers or bootleggers v prohibition race. Our tech is getting faster to out run the corporate fuckin maleare but the faster we go the more they stuff in so to the avg user they’re ended with paying $6k for a GPU/cpu combo that runs at the same efficiency as my school library’s c9mputer did running ms-dos running Oregon Trail in 1995. You are so confined by only having access to functions with massive fuckiing app buttons that even logging in as a guest user req you to memorize every CLI ever made.

It’s become my defining “I don’t want to live in this world anymore”
