Russia has begun sending North Korean troops to a frontline area in unmarked civilian trucks, Kyiv's military intelligence said, as concerns mount over Pyongyang's involvement in Moscow's war against Ukraine.
Ukraine also uses many civilian-sourced vehicles, including for moving troops. It is not inherently a war crime. It is frankly necessary when both sides are losing vehicles to enemy action constantly.
Russia committing war crimes is nothing new
This isn’t a war crime — you may be thinking of the war crime of transporting military personnel in vehicles with medical markings (red cross, etc)
If your country is big enough, you can commit war crimes openly and get away with it. I hope that changes.
Not like the ICC or League of Nations can do anything that isn’t a strongly worded letter and condemnations.
I wouldn’t count on the League of Nations to even do that much. The last time they did anything noteworthy was in 1946.
