Greta is authentic to her beliefs, but I always felt like her acceptance into the mainstream as an ecological activist is like when your company hires a stand up comedian at the work party and the sketches are basically laughing at the CEO being a tyrant and a monster.

of course, and she was very young when she started doing it. but her politics seem to be developing in the right direction and its funny that they’re trying to silence her now.

joyce-messier One may dye their hair green and wear their grandma’s coat all they want. Capital has the ability to subsume all critiques into itself. Even those who would critique capital end up reinforcing it instead…

      Reminds me of this quote:

We should also wonder how our appreciation of the sophistication and totality of the propaganda apparatus and its ongoing repression squares with the peculiar kind of “critical” media that does make it to wide circulation, usually to universal praise from both the mainstream and the counter-cultural “left.” […] Disaster movies insist that the end of the world is inevitable, that we are all complicit in ecological devastation for not doing our part recycling cans — this is environmental critique. Triumphant, handsome, charismatic, “alpha” men climb to the top of their respective empires of crime in highest-budget four-season shows and are awarded the highest accolades in their profession — this passes for an indictment of capitalism. Eileen Jones insightfully observes, about David Fincher’s Gone Girl:

Even as I watched it and shuddered with revulsion, I had to admit it — Fincher’s got our number. He’s figured out how to regularly wow contemporary audiences, to present us with the appalling truth of how despicable we are in a way that never really strikes home, by alternating coldly disapproving, feel-bad effects with conspiratorial smirking ones that remove any real sting. He so often uses the trappings of film noir to showcase our “badness,” but since we’re all perverts together, it’s just the “badness” of S&M sex-play, so who cares?

German police classified Greta Thunberg as “prone to violence”

It’s like they’re trying to inspire the hatred of the world with just how hard they crack the whip for Isntreal… I must admit, even as someone whose partner is half-German and who would want to like the culture, and as someone who knows “not all (or most) Germans” it’s somewhat working, certainly for the idea of Germany as a state (Morgenthau might have had the right idea).

Not even milquetoast libs(?) like Thunberg can escape Germany’s antics, and if I’m not wrong they try to exercise their reach across the west (western govts being more than happy to let them do it and take the blame also, I guess). Germany is truly in a wretched (and infinitely removeded) state.

In the US I have never seen so much actual anti-semitism in my life, and it is 100% because of western governments appearing to move heaven and earth to support Israel. While we know Israel is not the one calling the shots (that’s the US), because of how it looks on the surface actual anti-semites are capitalizing on this to say “see look, the Jews DO control the world”. And there are people who are listening and internalizing that.

Its hard for an average person to not fall into anti-semitism when you have people like ben gvir talking publicly.

Admittedly, were it not for voices like those of Norman Finkelstein, Max Blumenthal, and Aaron Mate among others (and anti-Zionist Jews I’ve talked to or seen online and in person) it would be hard not to as well. Even as is it is- not hard exactly, but it is a matter certainly resisting and reeling myself back from the instinct when I do see such absolute vileness draped in Judeo-washing (no different from pinkwashing/etc I guess) Zionism.

yea thats the thing, realizing that these people are just larping as jews because its convenient and they are fascists. But since most of us have no clue what judaism is, it’s hard doing that.

Isreal isnvery much calling the shots over America.

That’s why they keep having to write articles about how behind the scenes Biden is super duper pissed to make up for the fact they’re directly rebuking everything he says.

Netenyahu regularly come to congress to talk shit about Democrat president’s.

The US is the one calling the shots. If “Israel” is doing something it’s not because it has power over the US but because the US imperial establishment wants and benefits from “Israel” doing that. Everything else is pretense and excuses. As Genocide Joe himself admitted, if there wasn’t an “Israel” the US would have to invent one. They get to do the things they do because the neocolony serves Western imperialist interests in the Middle East.

German police classified Greta Thunberg as “prone to violence”

every people with a half an ounce of humanity or intelligence should exert extreme violence towards the Teutonic state
