I didn’t like blue curtained thought termination tendencies among Redditors in years past.
I also don’t like watching the planet burn down at an increasingly faster rate so pretty much those same Redditors can get hyped over regurgitated data scrapings and maybe even fool themselves into seeing the treat printers themselves as sapient beings.
Let the vampire in! Let the vampire be a guest! The vampire is nice! Trust the vampire!
The least believable part about this is boomers leaving behind money at all. If they’re anything like the boomers I’m biologically related to, they brag about intending to “live it up” and “leave nothing behind but a beautiful corpse.”
If this regulatory evil comes to Burgerland…
NOOOOO HOW WILL THE SMOL BEAN TREAT COMPANIES MAKE CAWADOODY REBOOTED TITLE NUMBER ZOMBIE EDITION NOW?!
Gabor Maté seemed to be spewing even more “human nature” excuses for anything and everything bad that people can possibly do.
They should have some CGI abomination host the debate, particularly a popular one for star power.
The CEO of Starbucks takes a private jet 1000 miles every day to micromanage his treat company, but you’re to blame for the planet burning, peasant.
Techbros stop giving twee cutesy misspelled word names to their grifty startups challenge. Difficulty level: Wayve.
I always hated Rick and Morty, but the Captain Planet parody episode was especially terrible for clumsily trying to shame direct action against the corpos destroying the planet (conveniently not having the ruling class targeted, just the workers at industrial sites, because showing otherwise might run the risk of the usual "caring about nonselfish things enough to take action is going too far" bullshit messaging not landing as usual) and of course adding some kiddie creeping flavor because Justin Roiland as always.
It’s unfortunate, because I do find D&D creatively dry and stale especially now. WOTC focuses heavily on its “original monsters do not steal” and tends to rehash and rehash them for settings and stories a lot.
Pathfinder is close enough to D&D that I’ve had success converting people to it because fuck Wizards of the Coast and their recurring attempts to gouge everyone with mandatory subscriptions and predatory licensing rackets.
Also Pathfinder’s setting is downright more creative because they don’t keep digging deeper into that boring old “what if underdark and illithids… AGAIN?” well.
They switched to plastic.
I definitely had that lizard energy when I would drink those as a teen sitting around my room g*ming for endless hours without movement. I would drink the carrot one, I thought it would help balance the damage I was causing to my eyes from so much screentime, only found out years later that was British propaganda. My eyesight sucks now.
Oh that takes me back, I did the exact same thing with that exact same flavor.
The flavor name “lizard fuel” always amused me for some reason.
Fruitopia
Orangina
I’m wary and suspicious of them for looking both corpo and like a mayo flashbang
