I don’t see Ukraine becoming another Israel if they lose. They were promised to become a second Israel only if they win. In that case they would get to continue being a highly militarized society with guarantee of practically unlimited support from the West. But if they lose they will be left in a devastated condition with a ruined economy and more than half the population gone. The West will largely discard them as a used up tool. It will be up to Russia to help them build themselves back up.
Genocidal and supremacist ideology is nowhere near as widespread in Ukraine as it is among the Israelis. Especially not in eastern and southern Ukraine. If you were to do an honest poll in Ukraine, you would not get even close to the 90% support for rabid warmongering and genocide that you find in the Zionist settler population. Most Ukrainians just want the war to end, and they are not as invested in the nationalist ideology as the Western and Maidan regime media would have you believe.
Only in western Ukraine do you find majority support for Banderist ideology where people will openly express genocidal views toward Russians and support for language banning policies, for punishing children who speak their native Russian language in schools and so on.
In the rest of Ukraine it’s mostly among the political elites and the military, paramilitary, police and security forces that nationalist ideology is most rampant, and even there for many it’s out of either careerism (because that’s what it takes to advance in post-Maidan Ukraine) or corruption and grift.
That’s really what unites the Ukrainian elite deep down: not Banderism, but corruption, theft and grift, and the nationalism is a useful tool to wield to use the ideological fascist thugs as footsoldiers, enabling the corrupt criminals at the top to enrich themselves, plunder the country dry and keep the gravy train of Western cash going.
I can agree nationalist sentiment isn’t as widespread as Israel; my point is that the nation is gonna end in a full endsieg death spiral as the population is mass-conscripted. Mark my words.
I don’t think so. The deranged lunatics running the Kiev regime and their European backers would certainly like it that way but i just don’t think they can pull it off. Draft dodging and desertion are extremely prevalent in Ukraine and the mobilization efforts so far have fallen far, far below their target. People are buying their way out of being mobilized all the time. Ukraine is too corrupt by far to be able to implement that kind of total mobilization. The Banderites want to be the Nazis but what they end up being is a farcical, dollar store knock-off version of them.
And regardless Ukraine is demographically in a doom spiral anyway, mass conscription or not.
Millions of Ukrainians have left and gone to Russia or to the EU and most are never coming back.
What i think is likeliest to happen is that at some point we will see a slow motion collapse of the front line start to accelerate, followed by an internal coup in Kiev, with western meddling, then another, possibly by the military or SBU, and then the whole regime implodes as everyone who has been filling their pockets all these years scrambles desperately to leave the sinking ship and take as much money with them as they can while the true believer Nazis lose their shit entirely and do a whole bunch of atrocities against their own people, blaming them for not fighting hard enough for the victory, before Russia finally overruns the whole place.
I can hope so, but if they do go full endsieg you can see exactly why I said what I said. Furthermore, this war has gone on longer than WW1.
