I am lost in life right now: No jobs within my qualifications (college drop-out), mental hell issues, lack of access to money, no one nearby that can help, , can’t drive, etc (I live in Florida).

I could not deal with college due to being so badly triggered that I quit. I also have no job prospects due to both quitting college and not having much experience outside of a few things here and there that I can put on my resume.

What am I supposed to do? How do I stop feeling hopeless?

Someone offered me housing in return for helping out with cooking and cleaning (they also want me to do some data entry stuff), but I am iffy on trusting them because the stuff I have to enter in looked odd and this is a total stranger.

A study came out sowing that eating a lot of raw fruit and veg can drastically reduce depression, anxiety and other mental health issues: https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/psychology/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2018.00487/full

It’s also well known that walking around outside improves mental health. maybe you can take steps like these to start with and then things might become easier. As far as college, maybe a correspondence course like the open university.

Cheapest way to do this – won’t get all the neat plant chemicals – is hibiscus drinks + citrus fruits & apples. Get fiber with psyllium & chia seeds. Get potassium from potatoes, yogurt, protein powder, coconut water, powdered peanut butter, & potassium citrate if you can get it (chloride causes stomach issues). Frozen berries are probably (still?) the most affordable normal way to get shit like anthrocyanins and they have a lot of fiber too.

Beans, spinach, collards etc are amazing but too hard to digest, more of a side dish portion thing. I know this is heresy on this side of the fediverse so I speak quietly of it

You want to ramp up to 25-50g fiber (NOT IMMEDIATELY) & get at least 1/3 of your calories from protein (after thermogenesis which is just a % loss of calories to heat based on how hard the food is to digest, proteins have 20-35%). Focus on complex carbs for energy. This is just a rule of thumb as your protein needs are proportional to physique & the overall calories to your energy use (consider if it is a training day).

This made my anxiety less ridiculous almost immediately when I started, but it won’t fix lack of exercise. Oh and intermittent fasting is really good once you stop craving sugar you feel way better

what if you just walk to south america or leave the state walking? maybe a loooong walk will help you and you’ll eventually find an idea or a better life. maybe it’s time for a very radical approach instead of just keep rotting in a place that you hate, idk. maybe it’s a pretty dumb advice, but sometimes you have to think outside the box
