The Republican National Committee is urging the Supreme Court to intervene in an Arizona election dispute this week and block up to 40,000 of the state’s registered voters from casting ballots in the presidential race.
Republican state lawmakers say these voters did not provide proof of their citizenship when they were registered and now they should be barred from voting in person or by mail.
Just enough to cover the 12k votes Trump lost by in Arizona in 2020 with some wiggle room for error too. Corrupt pieces of shit.
I think we all know by now that, if they didn’t cheat, they’d never win. Corrupt fecal stains.
Nah, they do win fair and square when it’s rural. Their problem is that the population of rural America is dwindling fast. Most rural kids don’t want to stay in the sticks. For starters there’s just really no decent jobs there.
I mean, fairer. Rural voters are still getting lied to and manipulated by the GOP, but at least it’s not straight up cheating.
The coup has already started.it started in 2016 and is still going strong. They will do anything to get absolute power.
Justice Antonin Scalia spoke for the 7-2 majority and said the federal law requires states to “accept and use” the standard federal form in federal elections.
Scalia looking like a good guy here is blowing my fucking mind. Dissents were Thomas and Alito, so we know where this is going next.
Doesn’t even have to win. Thomas will write some treason into his dissenting opinion and the GOP fascists will run with it like it was a formal ruling.
Fuckery: rising
side question, they want to drop those that failed to follow with some paperwork, wouldn’t this sample be expected to have the same ratio of dem/rep than the rest of the electorate? why would it be majority dem?
They probably looked into the districts they voted out of and these are mostly democrats. I’m sure if you looked into the Republican ones, there would be even more than the 40,000 they say there are.
Their claim is that these people didn’t properly prove their citizenship so I’m sure they just started looking at people’s last names and went from there.
Poor people tend to be busy people who don’t always follow up on their mail. And there’s just enough education left in this country that poir people still tend to vote intelligently… just enough
