I’m sure skinny Luka having a historic start this season isn’t helping lol.
Every shot that guy makes for the rest of his career is a dagger to a Mavs fan.
He deserves it, but this won’t fix the Mavs. They’re screwed for a couple of years.
Patrick Dumont was sitting courtside talking to a fan in a Lakers Luka Dončić jersey last night as well. I guess the “Fire Nico” chants every game got to him too lmao. Honestly surprised it took this long but I guess they were still projected to be a good team with AD and Coop.
It’s weird because I can’t imagine he traded Luka without the new owners approval so I’m guessing they underestimated the blowback and are now trying to win back the fan base with this move.
Have to imagine Nico would expect a golden parachute for that since I can’t see him getting another role in the league after that whether ownership pushed for it or not.
They are so lucky they got Flagg, anything less and I think they would’ve lost even more fans.
I think either the owner wanted to trade Luka because they don’t understand that NBA players aren’t normal employees. Or there’s some frozen envelope level shit going on here.
