Honestly, I doubt that Horner, who reportedly protected Perez so far and pushed for his contract extension, can keep him in his seat any longer.

Unfortunately, we likely won’t see Tsunoda or Lawson in Perez’s seat after the summer break; instead, Ricciardo will probably take over until end of the year.

This could also shift the driver market, possibly leading to Sainz moving to Red Bull if Ricciardo underperforms.

Ricciado has been underperforming for at least 5 years now. Tsunoda has almost double his points. Danny just doesnt deserve the seat any more than Perez.

I’d love to see Tsunoda in the second RB seat.

How would he even be an improvement other than the marketability of that smile?

I saw someone say that he prefers a car setup similar to Max’s. But yeah, even though he’s my favorite driver, he’s had plenty of chances. I can’t imagine any world where he gets Checo’s seat, even til the end of the season.

We’ve seen plenty of times in the last few years that if the car is slightly ill suited to him, then he can’t drive around it at all.

The car has a more understeery nature at the moment as we saw in Hungary so I don’t think Ricciardo will enjoy the car.

I doubt any of the rumored contenders have the pace to challenge Max, and even if they had occasionally, Red Bull doesn’t beat around the bush with team orders.
