Hear me out: eat what you want. But if what you want is sugar, then balance it out with lean protein. Also make sure you cut back your portions of junk food.

Life is too long to starve yourself of everything you enjoy. Make the best of this removed and eat some things you like.

if you don’t work out and eat extra protein, it will just be burned and make you fat, almost like sugar but less powerful. it has a lot less calories, but isn’t helping, except maybe helping build new fat cells.

Not necessarily true. I lost 20 lbs over the summer by minimizing my junk food and eating more lean protein, and I didn’t start working out until a couple of months ago.

I will concede that everybody is different, so I’m not trying to say you’re wrong. 😊

This but the opposite. If I say I’ll eat healthier, I don’t eat my few unhealthy snacks; then I forget to eat anything at all and then “oh it’s tomorrow and I’m shaky for some reason…”

Do you get stressed at the thought of not eating cake?

edit: it has happened to me. Also mustard. I once got stressed out because I wanted mustard and had none.
