How would looking at porn on my private device in my down time be a problem to anyone?

In the same way that watching porn on public transit is a social no-no

I would have assumed that by now we would at least have overcome the age of puritanism sufficiently to no longer taboo sexuality. I actually watch porn on public transit, but I guess that not many people do.

You are correct there, however questioning why you shouldn’t be allowed to watch porn at work is definitely trolling lol

Not really. The distinction that has been made here is that “NSFW” only means “pornography” if it 1) takes place during a break at work and 2) does not take place on your own device. Conversely, doesn’t that mean that I can do whatever I want on my own device during my break?

Cool story bro. I’m actually at work now so I don’t have time to keep entertaining your troll hijinks any further. You have fun watching porn at work though. Make sure to invite your manager to watch along with you!

I probably will not, I prefer to see my manager in a non-sexual context. (Not really my type, too much penis, I guess.)

                your troll hijinks

Sorry for repeating myself: Not everything you disagree with is “trolling”.

The distinction that has been made here is that “NSFW” only means "pornography

Who has made this distinction? NSFW in my opinion is anything that is, you know, not safe for work.

That would include pretty much any explicit content. Extreme gore for example would be another type of content which isn’t really safe for work.

Probably also images of self harm.

However, alot of content on Lemmy doesn’t fall in to the above criteria, so it is ‘safe’ for work. Just like how light magazines are appropriate for work, but a porn mag isn’t.
