Here’s a puzzle: How do you write a law that’s so badly designed that (1) the people it’s meant to help oppose it, (2) the people who hate regulation support it, and (3) everyone …

She still insists on being a Democrat, despite constantly shit-talking other Dems, instead of going independent like Bernie or starting a new party. She’s always been one to yell and shout but when the time comes to actually do something, she always mysterious disappears or falls in line.

They do vote on thousands of these per year and often rely heavily on the advice of their team (as in their own policy advisor and staff, not the Democrats) so it may have just been a bad call.

Im not from the US but I wouldn’t throw out AOC over one bad vote. If I was her constituent I’d definitely call/email her to let her know how I felt about this issue and that it was an enormous letdown though. Gotta advocate.

Democrats would rather lose to fascists than win as the people’s champions.

There’s no bribe money in the latter.

This comes after leadership dismissed substantive criticisms during markup, including explicit warnings from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez about the bill’s potential for abuse.

Then why the fuck did you vote for it?

I guess the first amendment just isn’t that important to her. Or maybe she was threatened with violence.
