on the bright side, at the end of the weekend you can enjoy feeling like you haven’t even rested at all!
Why is not doing anything on the weekends such a sin? I don’t understand why people stress themselves out like this.
Well, often you have chores that you have been putting off and they’re becoming more and more urgent…
It is not. Only when you also haven’t done much during the week because you were planning to do it on the weekend you might get the idea that you maybe should indeed do sth.
I hate that during the week I can think of 100 things I need to do but come the weekend and I can’t remember shit.
I should make a to-do list, but I’d probably forget to before the weekend comes again.
You could consider getting a dry-erase board and putting it in a visible area to keep an ongoing list of things to remember/do.
I have notes on my phone but i sometimes forget to check them so maybe i should do this too.
More like, “I should do all the things I planned to do with my hobbies”, but instead I’m too tired and lazy and just lounge all day.
How about:
“Wow, I’m exhausted. Instead of tackling my list whole I’ll just do a small thing each time i get up”
Even if the small thing is just carrying a mug to the sink it’s still progress!I do this to myself often.
I feel your pain.
I do the same, but I exclude the “feeling guilty” part.
Yeah yeah, I know this is a meme community but I assume you’re here like me because you identify.
So try this:
Step #1: Disconnect away from brainrot and “the algorithm” (few hrs or a few days - completely disconnecting takes about a week) so the cursed feeling of “I should be doing something but I’m not and I feel bad” goes away.
Step #2: Rejuvenate: do an activity that will actually make you physically and mentally healthier. Go outside, learn something, be social, accomplish something, write something, etc. You know you, so do that thing…
After you get into step 2 can you’ll begin to recharge so you can deal with stuff again.
“Do something”
Man, why didn’t I think of that?
