“The real problem is not like the crazy guy that firebombs a Tesla dealership, it’s the people pushing the propaganda that cause that guy to do it,” he continued.

“The president has made it clear, we are going to go after them. The ones providing the money. The ones pushing the lies and propaganda, we’re going after them,” Musk claimed. “I think there’s some real evil out there. We have to overcome it.”

This statement means that U.S. Citizens no longer have Constitutional rights.

“The president has made it clear, we are going to go after them. The ones providing the money. The ones pushing the lies and propaganda, we’re going after them,” Musk claimed

    His self-description is really perfect.

He even includes the “money” aspect, which people who hate Tesla because of Elon really aren’t interested in.

So you can’t state your opinion of a car company now? And somehow that is the government’s concern?

Could the corruption get any more blatant?

American fascists going ape-shit in defense of their right to drive ugly, poorly built vehicles goes straight back to Henry Ford tearing up the Midwest street car lines in the 1920s.

A retail value they just recalled 45,000 cyber trucks Thats like 3.6 billion dollars. That’s the insurance companies dropping the vehicles and people tired of the million things wrong with them.

A recall doesn’t mean the company takes back your vehicle and has to refund you. They send you a letter and you take your vehicle to a dealership so they can fix or replace the recalled issue or part.

And usually you can do this at your regularly scheduled service so most of the labour costs are covered.

Yeah I meant representing 3.6 billion in inventory. Couple that with all the charging issues, rusting panels, stuck chargers, non existent stations. Buying one is an uninsurable money pit and they hit you hard if you try to resell within a year

I’ve had recalls for a bunch of vehicles, and I’ve never had to pay any costs for the repairs regardless of when I schedule the appointment.

I meant if they talk you into a service at the same time some of THEIR labour costs are covered. Sorry I didn’t mean the owner has to pay for a recall but I can see how my comment reads that way.

For example if the recall fix takes them 15 mins but they can do a regular service for another 60 mins which you pay for then it offsets things a bit for the dealership.

I think that people firebombing Tesla dealerships is genuinely hilarious and awesome. The only bad thing about it is when they don’t take sufficient precautions and then end up arrested. Anyone doing such a thing should definitely make sure to leave their phone at home, and make sure they aren’t identifiable on camera either at the scene or traveling to/from it.

I’m pretty sure 1984 is a banned book. So most people aren’t aware of how to doublethink and to the extent big brother has control over communication devices.

Well, how about the fact that if you don’t have your phone on you, they can also track that, and in a world where everyone has a phone, it’s arguably stranger not to have one. A burner that’s not linked to you just to have at the time, and toss later, might be a better option. However, I’m sure that’s not great either. Big brother is always watching.

How would they track if you don’t have your phone on you? They can track the phone location and its use. Putting your phone down while you take a nap, or losing it in your couch look the same as leaving it at home.

Beyond that, suspecting that you left your phone at home isn’t evidence of anything. Try yo stay off the radar if you can, but at least don’t build a case against yourself.

I may be misremembering entirely, but essentially, combined with all the other surveillance out there, if you say, go to a protest, and you and a few other people are going without a cell phone, not having that electronic signal is also a “red flag” or can be, and they’ll monitor you closer through other measures, when possible. However, I’ve gone looking for where a read/saw this, and cannot find anything. So there’s a non zero chance this is a fever dream.

The ones pushing the lies and propaganda, we’re going after them

While lies are tortuously liable (grounds for civil recovery rather than a crime), criminally punishing propaganda and speech would be a textbook violation of the First Amendment.

What lies? What propaganda? This guy is a fascist dipshit and no one wants to associate with his company. Add in the fact that he is trying to dismantle our country on behalf of trump and you’re going to get protests. It’s pretty simple, Leon.
