Vegan chile relleno, rice, beans and tortillas. One of my favorite meals.

      Sorry, I am just seeing this, but like somebody below said, I use potato inside and then it doesn’t even need toothpicks to hold together while frying.

      Not op but my mom would fill them with mashed potatoes as an alternative to cheese or ground beef.

      I don’t have the full recipe, but this is for the breading and everything else is the same as a traditional Chile Relleno.

      1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup masa harina 1 tablespoon enerG egg replacer 3 tablespoons aquafaba 1/4 teaspoon black salt 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/4 cup water

      Always do 2 part breading. 1st pat Chile’s in flour then 2nd dip in batter. Always make sure the chiles are as dry as tou can get them or the batter could slip off. So before dipping in flour, you might want to pat them totally dry.
