G.M. produces the Malibu at a plant in Fairfax, Kan., and will continue to manufacture the car until later this year, when it plans to retool the factory to make a new version of the Chevrolet Bolt, an electric car, and the Cadillac XT4, a luxury S.U.V.
Bruh make an electric sedan please
They’re all moving to bigger vehicles because fewer bigger cars = higher profits. It stinks, and is definitely not what the country needs.
The Malibu was a bland car and won’t be missed, but what I will miss is that was the last sedan they had. Now they will make nothing but larger crossovers, SUVs, etc. I hate that cars keep growing bigger like that.
I rented a Malibu several years ago and it was the most bland, uninspired car I have ever driven. It set a new bar for mediocre. There was nothing “bad” about it, but I couldn’t wait to be rid of it. And that’s coming from a guy who has owned more than one Buick. I can’t say I’m sorry to see the badge retired.
Malibu EV coming soon
And it will somehow use an SUV body
