Yeah i think keeping them from guns n stuff is probably a good idea. I do want to push back on the desire for repentance. Repentance is a fuzzy word and it doesnt necessarily indicate safety or attempts to change. It feels a little too punitive to actually prioritize effectiveness or societal benefits.

Punitive systems are literally the worst way of actually rehabilitating anyone. Good news is we have abundant science about effective ways to rehabilitate people back into society.

Revenge is not a community-forward position and will never get us closer to our goals. Especially in times of peace. I understand that wars are fought including right now. In a war, i hope that the casualties that unfortunately happen are always fascists that fall, including right now. When the fight is no longer present, everyone gets their needs met.
