Same in Germany. People don’t even seem to realise the dangers of it, or how they’re harming others. They just think it’s their “right” and the government agrees.

My cousin had post partum psychosis. She absolutely would have killed her baby if the midwife and her husband hadn’t noticed something was horribly wrong. She was in psychiatric care for months while her husband looked after the baby. After that, she still couldn’t deal with her baby every day, so her husband and the grandparents took turns. It’s now 12 years later, she never really recovered. Still has severe social anxiety, has a dog to support her.

This has nothing to do with “knowing right from wrong”, this is beyond “anxiety” “depression” or other mental conditions. She absolutely lost it and had NO control over it.

This woman is not a criminal. She’s a victim of a shitty healthcare system that doesn’t take post partum problems and mental health seriously.
