Pretty much a girder fork, which is a very early form of motorcycle front suspension. Pre-dated telescopic forks i believe. I reckon they look awesome.

40km/h has been the minimum speed limit on public roads in Aus for quite a while, and it’s still the norm. 30 is pretty new and will probs take some time to adjust to.

They’ve done this in a few areas of Melbourne. The fatal injury data is certainly a compelling case:

They couldn’t provide a graph showing CO2 emissions over time, including the embedded energy in making the car and the point at which a new EV starts to have a lower impact than keeping a combustion engine car running? Yep. We changed our home lightbulbs to LED, we got more efficient heating/cooling systems and appliances installed in our homes. (My gov provided incentives for these things). I thought it was to reduce our energy consumption and save us some cash on bills. But nup, turns out it just freed up energy to burn on LLM data centres.
