As an administration, it’s a joke. As an exercise in evil, it’s right on track.

I do like the idea of a P2P system. I used to be on ZeroNet but there were just too few people and too little content to stick with it. I hope something like this takes off.
You’re welcome :)

A great app. I use the (FLOSS) LibRedirect browser extension to automatically send YouTube links to FreeTube.
Ah, practising the deeply held moral principle of “I’m alright, Jack”.
We’ve enjoyed it. The second season story arc about a charismatic figure who latches onto white supremacy politics as his latest grift is a little close to the bone in the current climate.
(And I personally had a little fun spotting posters for Canadian punk bands like D.O.A. and No Means No in the background, as it was one of those of Stephen J. Cannell shows among the first wave of US productions shot in Vancouver.)
It’s available for free streaming on a few channels but unfortunately, the whole story arc about the record company is just cut entirely as, like a lot of shows from the 80s, they couldn’t license the music rights.
Wait, Severance and Spacey were both in this?
Recently watched Wiseguy for the first time, where they were paired up as creepy brother and sister, must have been only a few months before this was shot.
As a kid I used to love and watch over and over again two other Pryor/Wilder movies, Silver Streak and especially Stir Crazy (we didn’t have much on VHS back then).
But by the time this came out, I wasn’t very interested and have still never seen it. I should but so many other movies are higher up on my watch list.
So AI is just three Netflix executives in a trench coat?
Just wave your arms and shout. They’re more afraid of you than you are of them!
Interesting read, thanks.
And TIL of the Beachy Amish, who absolutely do not go around on horsedrawn surfboards with Annette Funicello.
Basically, yes. EEE is a strategy developed by a dominant company whose revenue stream came from paid proprietary software and services but which embraced open standards with the goal of vanquishing the threat to their business model posed by that openness and maintaining/recovering their proprietary domination.
Does ActivityPub being open and used by many different projects & organizations pose a threat to Piefed’s business model? Is Piefed a powerful company that built that power on a proprietary model and seeks to preserve that power by embracing, extending, and extinguishing ActivityPub? With the goal of maintaining/recovering proprietary domination?
No. So it ain’t EEE.

(Japanese; my Japanese only good enough to catch a few snippets)
One I came to love because the guy in the room next to me when I lived in Japan kept playing it over and over until I did. Also featured in my first (and last!) attempt at doing karaoke in front of Japanese people.

A konpa track I think sampled by Wyclef Jean.
