Books, same as I do now as well.
I take your point but I’d like to say I can’t remember being bored since I was a kid and that was because you were forced to and I’m 57 now.
Betwixed and between

Yes, we live in a world were many serious people with serious credetrials can’t see lasting. and people go to a Taylor Swift concert or a Football game

Am I the only one that never has BT swit he’d on ? 99.9% of the time it’s off.
I don’t use wirleias headphones and don’t have much use for BT at all…
There was an excellent allegory for this from Tamino many years ago that stuck with me. For those not in the know, he’s a statistician who works with climate scientists (amongst other things) like Professor Stefan Rhamstorf
https://tamino.wordpress.com/2016/02/03/how-to-destroy-a-megalopolis/
In fact I did it every day. One large pot of boiling hot water. The idea wasn’t to kill all the ants, or to eradicate their megalopolis in one crushing blow. The idea was simply to make it too costly, in terms of energy and time, for their complex of ant cities to be sustainable.
It worked.
After about two weeks, the ants were gone. Completely. I believe they just couldn’t stay there any more, it was just too difficult with such regular demands on repair. I don’t know whether the megalopolis died out, or they moved to a different location. But any way you look at it, I succeeded in destroying their megalopolis, because amid the continual assault of disasters, they simply weren’t able to keep up.
This is what can happen to us. Global warming isn’t going to come in one astounding assault and kill us all with one blow. It’s just going to make survival harder — a lot harder — with regular assaults like floods, droughts, heat waves, killer storms.
On my mobile I use a pixel 4, I tried Graphene OS but my banking failed so back to stock Android
Here in Australia I just use a physical card for tap and go for payments etc or use cash. No need for Google Pay or bank payments app. Can log in via my bank via a web browser to move cash about or check spending.
I think you demonstrated the entire point, people prefer invasive convenience over privacy., along with flimsy justification. Not having a go, it’s exactly what most people say when I query them about privacy, “It’s so much eaaier and how I manage” etc etc.
Then we have your FB messenger thing. Dead lord, stop that. If they don’t want to chat to me on Signal, they’re obviously not my friend.
If we want to have a stable livable climate we need to.live with the emissions of the average Cuban (Professor Kevin Anderson) That allows the worlds poorest to have more emissions per capita and the worlds richest to come down a lot, and by a lot I mean a metric shit load.
How we do that and what that looks like is up to us but if we don’t soon, we’ll likely collapse. civilisation anyway and none if it will matter and we won’t be talking about it on here.
Good on them, modern day heroes.
This is an obvious lie though.no matter the words.
I’ve nwvwr met anyone who does.
Some evidence to supoort my assertion.
80% of Australians voted for climate deniers at the last national elections.
NZ voted for a National Givernwmt. Who had a policy fi reopening oil and gas exploration ffs
Netherlands votered for Gert Wilder’s FFS.
UKnlooks set to Vote Labour another climate denying political parry…Hell, climate isn’t even discussed.
US will Vote Biden or Trump, both climate deniers. Biden has approved morenoil and gas exploration then Trump did ffs
So no they do not .I’d suggest the number is closer to 10-15% based on voting polls.
To be clear, health should be a human right, housing should be a human right, food should be under health as a human right but let’s be serious it should be a separate human right so everyone has to acknowledge
Around the world 9million is so die every year from starvation (some 25,000 a day, many of them children) another 9 milion or so from air pollution, driving cars and.m burning fossil fuels. 50 kids a week are backed over in cars in the US alone, that’s just backed over. Guns are the #1 killer of children , cars #2 in the US
https://www.theworldcounts.com/challenges/planet-earth/air/air-pollution-deaths-per-year
50 US kids killed by Muslim terrorists, spend a trillion and invade, but good 'ol boys in trucks? make the trucks bigger and have at it… but can’t spend a trillion to build good public transport and cycle ways so people.don’t need to kill kids in cars.?
I think it’s not unreasonable to suggest we don’t really give a shit about “human rights”… anywhere in the world.
Professor David Boyd expressed it well when he was tasked by the UN to try and raise awareness about some of this with Governments around the world and as he said, he couldn’t get a single eyebrow raised anywhere in the world

Are there even any other politicians with this trend of getting uncomfortably close with young girls at press events?

Same here in Australia? I’m 57, I’m one of the youngest around, dude I bought the place off was 87 and moving into a retirement hone.
What the actual fuck ?
Snack Trebuchet, for office sharing.
Alcohol is a depressant ?
but the ten commandments in and of themselves have no link to nazi-ism
Yeah nahhh, like the Buddhist symbol was co-opted by the Germans, the commandments are used as a dog whistle by fascists now.
If it was about being Christian they would have used the Beatitudes (words of Christ) not the commandments. If it was about being chest thumping American they’d put the cononsitiution there, speration of church and state etc.
We know WHY they don’t use the Beatitudes, because theae fuckers are as close to being Christian as Hitler was to being Buddhist.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatitudes
Gandhi’s famous quote summarizes whats so wrong with Christians doing stupid shit like pinning 10 Commandments to the wall, they have little resemblance to Christ
I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ - Mohandas Gandhi
No, that’s the temp they recommend to set the AC too in order to save power.
Wtf ? I use it semi often and have never enxouterd it either. That seems a little off ? You make it sound like.its all over the place like with Discord.
I am aure they’d rather be busy doing other things but if the Governmwnt starts taking liberties and shits on the Constitution, then we need someone to step up to the plate… Shame on the Government.
