If this young man was in a rational state of mind he wouldn’t have thrown himself under a semi. It’s fine and correct to recognize the driver was a victim, but pointless to critique someone having a literally suicidal mental crisis.
Solipsism is real amongst the fediverse shit posters

Value and price are not the same thing. The president of the US is one of the biggest losers on the planet, yet he’s successful if you measure him only by vapid qualities such as his title and success as a Grifter. Elon Musk, literally the richest person alive, is also a major creep. Are people who don’t support them losers because they failed at fighting the good fight?

Lol getting moderated on the fediverse for paraphrasing Thomas Jefferson is pretty special.

Say what you want about Roger, but he didn’t want to be an American. He left, he didn’t come back, and the rules for dealing with people who leave are very arguably unfair and unreasonable. The fact that the Trump regime is corrupt isn’t really his fault. He actually is a true believer in non-violence. If I were him, I’d have used the money to water the tree of liberty with the blood of tyrants.
I think your response is only half right. To the extent the service you wish to access enforces location based rules, in some cases appearing to access from a different location where those rules do not apply, you may benefit.
But for services that are EU specific where ostensibly 100% enforcement of compliance exists, then it doesn’t matter where you appear to come from.
Trivial services like Facebook–you might be able to login from another venue. Important things like your bank, the tax authority, your healthcare, insurance and so forth will be largely domestic and therefore no benefit to VPN’ing.

Trump whitewashed the President’s House site so thoroughly that he had to slap forced-labor tariffs on Switzerland just to balance the books. Looks like Barron’s lanky ass is spending his summer in Geneva, doing 14-hour shifts in the Swiss chocolate mines.

Bad news for you. USA has always been genocidal maniacs. Israel is simply the forward base of operations.

Exactly my sentiment. This feels like a stunt.
Everybody knew what you meant and it’s what we always called them because it’s made of lightweight t-shirt material. Also, this was how we dressed in the mid/late 90s. By the 2000s I was transitioning from jnco’s to diesel and prada. From the 2010s onward I’ve given progressively less of a shit and everything is just a range of old t-shirts that don’t have too many holes in them or something somebody gave me on my birthday…

Trump suddenly a fan of birthright citizenship?
The whole US team should be shamed and this player should decline to play. Any wins they have will now be tainted by Trump stank and his corruption.

I charge my EV using excess solar energy during the day. It’s handy to be able to start and stop charging based on solar output. We also use the app to send map locations to the navigation system. Finally, while I’m privacy sensitive and having a GPS tracker exposing my location through an API I don’t control is dodgy as hell, being able to confirm the vehicle location remotely has come in handy on occasion.
While some neck beards may prefer to live in the 80s, I enjoy using and benefit from modern technology. I just wish regulators would require companies to use open systems. Tech in general isn’t’ the problem. Proprietary tech is the problem.

Fuck Trump and Fuck Israel.

Of insurance company executives? Yes. (also, not random)

Given the history of the last decade and a half, any prediction for the future is likely to be very wrong, but I think we may be at a very interesting moment where Israel undermines Trump’s efforts to surrender to Iran, and as a result Trump might actually take steps to distance himself from Israel.
The dems could find themselves with not only their preexisting fealty to AIPAC driving them but now a need to take the opposing position as Republicans. If Republicans find themselves for once on the right side of this issue, at a time when Americans are waking up to it, it could be a political disaster for dems.
I think it’s far fetched as it would just as likely splinter the R party, but it remains a critical example of Dems being out of touch.
The panels were the least expensive part tbh. My area is sunny much of the year but we have had several power outages in winter and what I was originally seeking was redundancy, so I overspec’d the battery (the largest cost.) I also got a larger inverter than I strictly needed. So, if my goal was purely economic I could have reduced the spend by more than half. But for transparency 16kw of solar panels + 20kw inverter + 60kwh of batteries+ labor ran about €30k. This buys me assurance of being able to withstand significant outages to the grid any time of year. Since early June when the installation completed we’ve been totally off-grid. Ironically it has made me way more stingy with limiting my energy waste having a more detailed awareness of the impact various activities and appliances use. Ive got things automated so that it charges the car only during peaks when we have abundant excess production.
My advice would be to find a way to track your power usage. If you can monitor and graph it then you’ll notice things like running the dishwasher takes close to 1kw. The more you know about your use the better you can determine how much solar you need to offset it, and also (the expensive part)'how much battery storage matters for you (for example overnight load.)
