I like it, but the map being so dark makes it hard to see shit anymore. There’s loads of visual clutter and it’s a bit much to take in! Plus, it means my laptop is just barely able to keep it above 60fps 😮‍💨

The toxicity isnt too bad imo. You get some shitty folks but they’ve got one of those toxic player jails where you get matched with other people who have been reported or quit games or whatever until you’ve won enough matches to get promoted out. Wish PVE was a bit better tho

It can be. The issue usually lies in having untrusted code contributed by people who may or may not know what they’re doing. Or, worse, maliciously writing code with AI assistance to insert vulnerable code which the human maintainers are less likely to spot because

1. More AI use = higher quantity of code submissions
2. More code submitted = more code to maintain and audit
3. More code to maintain and audit = More chance of human error or reliance on LLMs (which brings us back to 1.)

I think there’s ways AI can help software engineers accelerate the shitty work and otherwise keep working as before, but there’s big wave of bozos seeing LLMs do one or two cool things and just throwing it all to the sometimes breaks ur code machine. As with all things having some dialectical thinking helps with adapting moreso than blind end-of-history rhetoric from the likes of anthropic et al.

If the UK was in any way serious about health reform, they’d shut the whole IT infrastructure down and the middle management class with it. They’d send armies of annoying nerds to install their particular fucked up flavour of Linux onto every digital device they can find. That would be more efficient and secure than what we have today.
