  • In a lot of fields, the middle-ground is completely barren.

Audiophiles killed middle of the ground hi-fi systems, now all you can easily get is soundbars, bluetooth speakers, and the ever golden audiophool stuff with healing crystals. Often your best bet is to buy cheap pro audio stuff, a cheap audio interface also gives you a good 48V XLR input, studio headphones are comfortable and don’t have BASS BOOST built in, etc.

The same will happen to gaming. You’ll be either forced to use an iGPU, or shell out $2000+ for a GAMING GPU with factory overclock and RGB LEDs.

  • Moved my main repositories off from Github to Codeberg. The latter is more minimalist, but has what it needs instad of being an overbloated mess with AI slop features. Cannot fullz abandon Github due to the vast amount of code there, also some projects I’m contributing to have no plans to move.

While I know I should have moved to single blade safety razors, Lidl’s own 5 blade offerings last longer than Gilette Fusion, while being the fraction of the price.

  • Atheism+ was atheism with progressive politics, but suddenly some people thought Islam was worse than christianity, and also thought it would court conservative christians a lot better if they were more friendly to conservatism, and also also communism bad therefore we need to counterbalance that with showing that you can be both an atheist and right wing. So atheism+ fell apart, then the secularism of new atheism fell out of favor for “defending western civilization from islamism”, as far-right christians were better at big tentism.

  • Only until Dawkins and others like Thunderfoot convinced them that Islam is a thousands times worse that the worst of christianity, then also the culture wars happened.

Even geek circles wanted to do the same “big tent” bullshit new atheists tried to pull when atheism+ happened, except it included actual christian fundamentalists. This lead to some new atheists welcoming them, due to the very heavy overlap of the two circles, which in turn even lead to them converting to conservative christianity.
