I actually feel that time will tell us the answer to this question.

Because back in the far past (like over 100 years ago) nd thorough reporting on crime was present in some places but non-existent in others.

Nowdays most regions keep track of their crime rate in some type of way. Some pleaces dont keep track of exactly what crimes are committed but they simply report that 'XYZ and ABC persons committed a crime together on so-and-so date . Other places not only keep track of the type of crime committed bu t also of the chosen gender, traumatic childhood experiences, height , ethnicity, and weight of ALL the caught offenders

So if in 60 years when the populations decreases substantially if we see that the reported and convicted crime rate per 1000 people has declined on most parts of the world then we can conclude that one of the reasons could be closer knit communities.

However the only way we could definitely determine if lower crime rate correlates with closely knit communities then we would have to ask those who were caught committing a crime now and in the future what motivated them to commit that crime AND we would have to ask those who testified to wanting to commit a crime whythey didnt commit that crime. And if one of the major reasons given then and now centre around ‘having close friends who helped me out financially when I was down on my luck’ , ‘or being part of a community that diverted my desire’ , or ‘not wamting to paint my community or my loved ones as despicable’ , or things like that then we could definitely prove that the two correlate.

But I also remember reading somewhwre that poorer women in the usa were the most likely ones to seek and get an abortion as in they make up the ovverwhelming majority of abortions successfully gotten in the usa , isnt that still true? So doesnt that kinda show that poorer people also self-filter themselves frequently vause they understand that they just dont have the means to take care of a new mouth to feed? Now, I dont have statistics for what abortion access and abortion eagerness looks like globally for different women amd other people with uteri so you can take that with a grain of salt.

So I feel like there is some filtering at all levels of people of all wealth levels , all IQ levels, and of all eagerness-to-be-a-parent levels

Everyone in this comment section can cite like 5 different true crime stories involving a partner who decided to stay with their abusive male partner cause they thought it was what they oughta do or divvorce was against their religion or sometjing…and then rhey end up getting beaten up AGAIN by that same male partner.

Stories like that are too common. You have males trying to justify their violence all because their psrtner cheated on them (…when they could have just left), cause their partner refused to have sex with them for a couple years (…when they could have just left and found someone who would have sex with them) , cause thei r partner or ex-partner wanted to keep the baby (the baby that THEY put in them …when they could have just not had sex and dealt with it , gotten a vasectomy , used a condom, oor just left and paid child support) its so fucking common its sickening. ANd disgusting, illogical justifications like this have been being oushed and pushed for centuries …

And throughout history its been seen time and again thst the most dangerous person a non-male will ever meet is…of course their male partners.

So from a layman’s perspective seeing as how males have had a history of clearly proving theyre the larger , girthier, and more violent of all the genders it makes sense that giving non-males protection mechanisms from males like rights to at will divorce, protection orders, no-contact orders, consitutional rights for non-males , witness protection programs, abuse shelters, etc… will decrease the homicide rates of those poor non-males from abusive males.

You know , now that Im typing it out I find it odd that we would give non-males SOME protections for their defence against males …but we dont give them other defences against males and the control these abusive males have over them like universal access to mental health care for all genders (so that abusive males can fucking learn to man up and not be an abusive twat) , universal access to housing and financial protection for people of all genders that live with abusive partners, universal access to ALL birth controls and abortions so those abusive males cant use a child as a means to lure in and attack their former partners, etc…

So if youre already satisfied being alone and childfree or even satisfied after divorce after you had children more oxytocin wont convince you that you need to get another man under you… youre already as happy as you can be cause youre in that state.
