For a discount on a new game? I while ago I bought a ps4 for a friend and just got a bunch of second hand games from that store. All common ones but I saved a bunch of money that way.
I talked to someone working at a game store (gamemania in the Netherlands). The stores also buy and sell second hand games. I commented on the amount of fifa games on the shelves and they told me the storage in the back just has massive stacks of every fifa game of the last 10 years or so. Apparently they will literally buy every functioning game you want to sell them.
The chain is also close to bankruptcy, probably not related. But it’s a shame because I really do like walking through them and looking through the games they have. They actually have xbox360, wii and ps3 games on shelves.
That and they can turn on when you get home after sunset. But they could do that with simple wifi connection or something. Unless your wifi is unstable I suppose.

Dutch? I’m guessing because the speed limit. That’s insane though, 170 is flat out in most cars.
I print warhammer for friends for money. So that plus the money I saved on models for myself, I’d say it’s worth it.
But it’s also a hobby, learning how the things work and how to model is a lot of fun!
Same exact experience. Dutch literature is horrid. It’s a lot of sad depression and drugs. There’s a reason almost everyone read “het diner” or “het gouden ei” since those are doable. There seriously isn’t anything exciting like a detective or the stuff you mentioned. Not even a 1984, which is a depressing book but at least there’s some excitement. It really seems most Dutch literature is just pages of misery and nothing happening.
For English literature I read the lord of the rings. Way more pages, much more fun.

Yes! Scientists trained dogs to stay still in an mri and showed them pictures of the dog’s owners. The areas that correspond with human joy areas lit up! Same when they smell something from their owners.
So where I live if you have a disease, physical or mental, you go to a doctor and they decide if you’re ok to drive or if you need to pass an extra test first where you are judged if you’re able to drive safely with whatever disabilities you have. This is besides the standard driving test and written test. Also everybody has to take lessons with a professional.
It’s however not perfect because the government doesn’t have access to your medical records (which is good). But that means you have to be honest on a form about your disabilities. Plus the doctor visit is not covered by insurance and costs around 200 euros.
Plus if you already have your licence there isn’t really a system in place to prevent you for driving if your health declines.
Honestly I agree. And I don’t consider them degrading if the purpose is to save your life. I find it humbling (maybe nowthe right word) that the plan is to have multiple people work together just to make sure you don’t get left behind. But in an emergency you do need multiple people’s help which is why I find them so optimistic.
I’m also happy I don’t have to use them or practice with them. It doesn’t seem very comfortable and honestly a bit scary.

So a while ago an American who moved to the Netherlands asked about the proper way to store the Dutch flag.
The consensus was: put in a little plastic bag from a supermarket and shove in the back of a random closet.
