So drastic population decline, then?
I just worry that if humanity no longer has a use for cattle, they would likely be seen as a nuisance and driven to extinction.

What about the end goal of all this? If people stop eating cows, and then we stop keeping and breeding cattle because no one is eating them, where do all the cows go?
Odd example but correct, we cannot know with absolute certainty. But her story doesn’t feature magic, so it’s much easier to believe.
Right, and it’s much more likely that some true stories about a great dude got exaggerated a little bit over 2000 years, and vanishingly less likely that magic is real.
But both are absolutely possible.
Not exactly. Some things can be proven. But regarding things that happened thousands of years ago? Yeah that’s just everyone’s best guess and personal beliefs.
And forgive me for my use of “impossible” earlier, that’s not my position.
“Highly improbable” is a way better qualifier.
Not going to edit it because it ruins the context.
You believe because you believe.
Sure. Whenever discussing religion one will fall into circular reasoning, because faith itself is circular reasoning. One cannot use logic or reason to get out of a position that logic and reason did not get them into.

Maybe I’m an outlier, but omnipresent AI cameras would ensure bad behavior in my case.
And ask the same straight man how many comrades he’s slept with recently and receive the same answer.
Dude is just as neutral as comrade. It’s only your own preconceptions giving it gender.
Yeah I’ll just unsubscribe thanks, I don’t wanna be a member of a community that’s so authoritarian. Now I just have to figure out how to keep it from showing up in All…
Oh. That’s really shitty. So this community is protecting bots, huh?
Definitely lawful neutral behavior, not chaotic good.
Edit: typed wrong alignment
Not that guy, but, uhh, where? Looked for it, cannot find it.
Oh, across the broader population you’re absolutely correct. In that initial comment, I was referring to the users here on lemmy. Sorry, “we” can be rather ambiguous.
They would care if a large enough group stopped paying taxes. But good luck getting +10 million Americans to actually take a stand for what they believe in.
